A: Thank you for contacting Dr. Bronner's! While we do not make any products specifically for sensitive skin, many of our soaps work very well for those with skin sensitivities. We have received very positive comments regarding our Baby Unscented and Tea Tree soaps from our customers with skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, oily skin, or general skin sensitivities. However, we all have different skin, so we would advise first trying our product on a small area of your skin to be sure that it will work for you. For our customers with many sensitivities who are unable to use our scented varieties, we recommend trying our unscented soaps. These products have no essential oils and our Pure-Castile Liquid Soap contains almost double the amount of olive oil, making them milder than the rest. Another great product that can be used on dry areas of the skin is our Unscented Organic Magic Balm. Moisturizing your skin is also important, so we recommend following up with a daily moisturizer that you may already have and using our balm on those drier areas. The nature of the balms as an oil/wax mixture is not readily and completely absorbed which leaves the possibility to clog pores. Balms work by providing a moisture barrier on the skin, while the oils nourish and soothe the skin. So, we are unable to make the statement that our balms are non-comedogenic. For this reason, only apply to areas that need extra care. As mentioned above, we do not make soaps specific to certain skin conditions, although they may help in some cases. We would still recommend that you first consult these products with your dermatologist, to see which products they may recommend that are more suitable for your skin. While we don’t recommend eating it intentionally, it is not a problem if the applied balm is ingested, as this is expected with any balm applied to the lips. Our Unscented Magic Balm and Naked Organic Lip Balm share a majority of the same food-grade ingredients, with the only difference being the addition of olive and coconut oil to our Magic Balm.
