After removing the pin and setting it aside to avoid any injury/damage, you can use the blade of a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the hanger off of the canvas. If you do it carefully, the nails should come out of the wooden frame of the hanger straight and undamaged. You can then hammer it into the corner of a different canvas, being careful to not bend the nails as you do so. Once it is installed in the new canvas, make sure it's firmly in place and you can snap the pins back into the hanger and hang the canvas on the wall. The key part is to make sure it's firmly installed in the new canvas. If you wish, you can use some pliers to remove the two existing nails in the hanger and replace them with some fresh nails if you have them. We should point out that while technically the CanvasHangers can be removed and reused, it is designed to be a permanent solution for a single canvas. To remove the canvas from the wall, gently lift the bottom edge of the canvas away from the wall a few inches, and then slide your fingers into the gap between the canvas and the wall as far up as you can, and then pull the canvas straight away from the wall. This should make sure that the pins that go into the wall stay straight and true. You can then reposition the canvas in a new location, line it up and then push the top corners of the canvas into the wall to reinstall it. If you need to store the canvas or want to reduce the risk of injury or damage, once the canvas is off the wall, you can snap the pins out of the brackets and store them in the brackets to keep them safe.
