Description

The Regalo® Top of Stairs Baby Gate is a sturdy, convenient gate to protect your mobile child from the dangers of stairs. Offering a universal banister-mount kit, the gate fits 99% of stairway applications. It is ideal for both the top or bottom of stairs.

NOTE: Depending on the shape, dimensions, and mounting components utilized in your doorway or opening, the maximum and minimum length of this gate may increase and/or decrease slightly.

When mounting between:
Two walls without any baseboards: the opening width must be between 28 inches and 42 inches.

Two walls with one baseboard: the opening width must be between 29 inches and 43 inches

Two walls with baseboards: the opening width must be between 30 inches and 43.5 inches

Q: Does this come with the parts to have between 2 bannisters or only for 1 bannister and the wall? Also, if my bannisters are uneven, would this still work?

Q: If you are attaching to one bannister, is there a way to mount the latch on the opposite wall without damage?

  • A: This would need to be screwed into the wall. The only way to install without screwing it into anything would be between two banisters.

  • A: If you are mounting this gate to a wall, you will need to drill holes into the wall to secure it. There are adaptors available for both the round and square banisters that will not leave any damage.

Durable and fits our needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works great for us! we're using it for the top of our stairs - installation was a bit cumbersome but it does seem pretty durable. Our stairs are narrow so it is usable by all means but we can't really use the walk through feature as it's really tight so we have to fully open it and then close it which is kinda hard to do but i guess that's a good thing especially when baby reaches its height

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this baby gate, but the installation process was a nightmare. If you need to mount it to a square banister post, be prepared for a challenge. The included square corner protector relies on adhesive that doesn’t stick well, constantly falling off during installation. Without a secure grip, getting the gate properly mounted was incredibly frustrating and time-consuming.
