Q: Can this stand be placed on grass/in a yard that is not perfectly even?

If it is slightly uneven, it could be OK, but your umbrella may not stay straight. It is 17 pounds, so you would want to use your judgement based on how uneven the ground is. This will rust!

I loved this umbrella base until it rusted just one week after putting it outside. I will be returning this.

Nice looking. Well made. Relatively reasonably priced. But a little lighter in weight than it probably should be. A decent wind actually toppled the umbrella and stand AND the round wrought iron table through which it was supplementally secured!
