First time reviewing a product that says a lot. When I say this stuff is painful, I am not kidding. I was afraid to look at my throat. Thought it would be blistered. I guess you could go with my throat hurt less after using it because anything felt better after that INTENSE pain. Not kidding. Stay away.

Works but hurts
Giving two stars because it does help to sooth the throat but, Holy Crap, the most painful “spray” ever. Instead of the spray that creates a mist like spray this is more like a high pressured water gun shooting the back of your throat at close range. Not fun when you are already in pain.

Awful taste
It taste like licking a tub of vicks. Very gross and very gag worthy. Would NOT recommend. 2 Stars because it technically does numb the area after a few minutes of gagging on the awful taste.

Ouch!
Yikes!!! Don’t bother with this. I was so hopeful. Squirt goes right down your throat even though you’re supposed to spit it out. Felt like I was choking. Burned badly. My eyes were watering. Almost threw up! Horrible product

Ouch
This actually made my sore throat worse. Feels like spraying liquid fire on the back of my throat. Unfortunately there's no undoing it once you've sprayed. Brought tears to my eyes and couldn't swallow for 5 minutes. Regular cough/throat drops are much more effective and a nicer experience.

Pass on this- it contains gross artifical dyes
I don’t understand why this product needs artificial dyes in it. When you’re sick, you don’t care about the color of medicine. It’s super unnecessary!

Not effective.
Got this for itchy throat during allergy season. Target didn't have my usual brand. 2 things that didn't work for me. 1) The spray is directed at the tonsils vs. the back of one's throat in general - so other tissue that has discomfort does not get medicine delievered to it.

It burns pretty bad. You have to stop what your doing and get though it. It does give some numbing relief, but at what a cost. Top inactive ingredient: alcohol. Hmmmm wonder why it burns so bad.

This isn't it! Go to the Dr!!
Ok, I don’t write reviews AT ALL! But, this for sure needed one…I bought this yesterday so I could numb my sore throat. I was reading the reviews and was sure that it could numb my throat which was in pain due to Tonsillitis so yes, I want that numbing agent! It numbed it for a solid 2-3mins n now the excruciating pain and ear ache is right back! Not to mention if I’m attempting to swallow while it’s numb bcuz the flavor isn’t meant for swallowing. All in all, just go to the Dr! I was prescribed Amoxicillin and I will not be going into work tomorrow. This may work for those that’s not in such throat pain

Test first-- 1 spray, then wait before adding more.
Numbed my throat and tongue but also felt like it caused my throat to swell or become blocked. I sprayed 3-4 times. I was contemplating what i should do if I couldn't breathe. It's not for me. I would recommend testing with one spray then wait 10 minutes before the next spray to see how your body reacts. This was the strongest spray I've ever used. Works to numb everything the spray goes on so it does what is advertised. Hopes this helps someone out.

Drink some tea instead.
Don’t use this if you think you have something more than a sore throat. I’ve seen many people talk about how much it burns in the reviews. While this did not burn for me at all, and I had a pretty bad sore throat, I was disappointed in the product. I’ve been very satisfied with VICKS products before (such as their nasal spray, vaporub, and cough drops), but this throat spray is pretty ineffective. It is a targeted stream that does not reach the part of your throat you’re probably trying to relieve. It only really goes to the back of your mouth and when it does, it last for only a few minutes. I’d just stick with a cup of tea instead of this.

Temporary relief - keep looking
1 start for the temporary numbing sensation. I felt no pain for all of 5 min. It's not a winter frost mist it's more like a fast stream of temporary relief, which stings .

I’m not sure how this can be sold? This spray feels like a power washer on the back of your throat. The medicine burns, making the sore throat much worse!
