Description
It’s important to get the right air conditioner for the job! The LG LW1016ER is ideal for cooling medium rooms up to 450 sq. ft. This unit has 3 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer to create a cooling schedule. 4-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, dehumidifying or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. Other features include a remote control, easy window installation kit, removable, washable filter and a check filter alert.

A: No you should replace a TTW unit with another appropriately sized TTW unit.

Poor design of front panel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ran ok until the front panel hung from the cable. Now the unit works intermittently. It will be ok when I push or pull on the cable that goes from the removable front panel to the power unit. Reseating does no good. It will go ok then stop after a while then touch the cable and it runs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a problem with the new LG brand air conditioner...The front grill would not snap onto frame..the grill seemed to be1/8 in short and would not snap onto frame....LG was kind enough to send a new grill but the same problem exists...the grill does not snap in place...it is ok...the side that does not Snap in place will be held together with a piece of tape...So be it...We surely will not be purchasing any more LG any time soon!!!!!Thank you again for trying to help..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Air Conditioner, for our bedroom, to augment our in-house system. The installation, including un-packing and complete window installation, went well with the instructions provided. The unit works very well keeping the room at a cooler temperature that we like while sleeping. The noise was tolerable once we became adjusted to it and were able adjust the operation to minimize the on-off cycles and noise. Our only concern is, whether or not it has to be removed during harsh winter weather, or if it is necessary to cover it, or can it be left installed uncovered? We are thus far satisfied with this product and the cooling it provides for our large bedroom with or without the total home system.

Compressor went out

Sleepless nights....bad design
We are pleased with the unit. Except for the unit automatically checking the temp every 3 minutes. It's fine during the day but very annoying at night while trying to sleep. For that reason I gave it 1 star. Other than that it gets 4 stars I plan on using it for the duration of the summer and purchasing a new unit next year. It more than likely will not be an LG.

AC installed perfectly and works well EXCEPT for some reason just about a week after it was installed the clean filter red light came on. Well I took the filter out and cleaned it though it looked perfectly clean...replaced it back into the AC and the light won't go off...not sure what the deal is but I guess I'll never really know when it's dirty...very annoying needless to say. If it wasn't for that I'd give it 5 stars because it's a great system.

Very effective AC window unit
I just have this window AC unit for 2 weeks, but it has been working everyday because of this tough hot weather. So far it is working fine and keep all my living room/dining rooms so cold and comfortable, it is not noisy, and no issues so far to report. It is 0still new so I can’t really judge any long term performance.

BEST AC UNIT IVE OWNED
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my bedroom is rather large, consisting of 10 windows, all of which are circa 1960s single pane glass with no insulation so the summers get pretty bad. I just installed the LG 10,000 BTU unit and man I’m actually having nights where I’m too cold now which never happened with my older AC unit. My bedroom used to be on average 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the summers and that made sleeping impossible but this new LG AC unit keeps my room right at 70 degrees. Great unit, no issues at all so far.
