BOOS BLOCK WALNUT CUTTING BOARD
This is a beautiful cutting board, I originally purchased the 3" thick chopping block, but didn't take into consideration - I'm short!! It broke my heart, but I had to return it for this one, which is 1 1/2" thick and perfect!!!

Poor Craftsmanship
Embarrassing craftsmanship. Gouges, cracks in the wood, and rough patches. The worst cutting board quality I have ever seen. Have they no quality control? Embarrassing for $125. Straight back to the store it goes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVED this beautiful cutting board. The gorgeous walnut grain is bold and exciting. Everything about this board screams elegance. The board is lighter than expected which makes for easy moving. The rounded edges and finger grips on the side are the perfect touch. The board has held up very nicely. It such a beautiful piece that I don’t mind it sitting on the counter. It could easily pass as decoration. The size is perfect. Not too big, not too small. Perfect to utilize as a cutting board and beautiful enough to serve on. I’m highly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship and would recommend to all my friends and family. It’s a beautiful and functional piece.

I love the size to cut all my veggies. Being a vegetarian, I cook daily, and both my husband and I love cutting veggies on this board. We eliminated plastic cutting boards as it constantly scratches and chips. Love it!

It looks beautiful, the color is rich, it's smooth to the touch, and is of excellent quality! The indents on both sides are nice for handling and moving. The size is perfect, not only for using as a cutting board but also as a charcuterie board. Maintenance of the board is easy and it comes with instructions on how to care for your board.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This board is amazing! I’ve used it for meal preparation twice now and it’s beautiful. This is the smallest board made in this style, and I was afraid it would be too small, but it fits well on my counter. The board is a bit heavy, but I’m using a towel under it anyway to keep it from slipping. I DO NOT WANT TO BREAK THIS. The wood is very sturdy and strong. There was no penetration into the board with cutting or slicing. On top of that it’s really beautiful just sitting out. I can’t wait to use this more to see how it wears. My father has some beautiful cutting blocks of his own that have lasted over 50 years with regular care. I’m sure this one will last too. I’m going to treat it with olive oil before using it again, as it dried out a bit when I took it out of the packaging, but other than that the performance is awesome! I would definitely recommend this to any cooking enthusiast who loves quality tools. It would make an excellent and memorable gift as well.

"Sale" prices are regular prices found on John Boos
This vendor (Spreetail) is inflating the prices of Boos cutting boards and then putting them on “sale” but the sale prices are just the regular prices found on John Boos website. The cutting boards themselves are great 5 stars for the cutting board) but this vendor is immoral for trying to trick its customers into thinking they’re getting a deal/discount. Don’t give your money to this vendor and just get your cutting board straight from Boos website.

I didn't realize exactly how big it was going to be, but the bigger the better. I use this everyday. The quality is top notch, it's a beautiful american black walnut cutting board. It's not light either, but not extremely heavy. It's perfect. It also come with a little kit to help keep the quality the best it can be. Amazing. I have no use for my other cutting board anymore. This one is way bigger and better than I could have ever expected. I love using this for any and all cutting I have to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have a ton of counter space in my house, and that tends to hinder the big holiday cooking or even just a fun meal. Everything I do in my kitchen, I have to keep that space issue in my mind. When I saw this, the only thing I could think of is "Where in the world could I even put this?" Then, it dawned on me! I could easily store this on my stove. That way it would get maximum use... cutting and/or serving board when in use, and extra counter space/stove protector when not in use! So, I took the leap of faith and got it. To say I am blown away is an understatement. This things is BEAUTIFUL and it is HEAVY! I am confident that it is 100% black walnut, and I absolutely love that! My first use, I was terrified to use it... it's just so pretty and so nicely made. First use, I made tacos for dinner. I used the board to cut onion, tomato, and lettuce. The board survived well and looked amazing while doing it! I served all of the toppings on the board and spent entirely too long staring at how pretty it was haha! When finished I wiped it down and left it on my stove. It looks great and keeps my burners protected. It's easy to move around, thanks to the recessed handles that ensure a good and comfortable grip. Ladies with longer fingernails, you're good! I have medium length nails and had no issues moving this around. Since taco night, I have used it a good 10-15 more times, and I can't find a single thing about this board to complain about.

It comes with stuff you need to clean it and take care of it so thats a plus. It's a bit heavy so I just keep it on my counter instead of putting it up like I did my previous ones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This black walnut cutting board is absolutely beautiful and arrived in perfect shape with no blemishes or defects. Before using it, I followed the provided instructions, and treated with the Boos mystery oil followed by board cream which was a very easy process. After the treatment I was ready for my first use. The first thing I noticed is that the board is large enough to prep multiple veggies at the same time. I was able to dice 3 onions and process multiple bell peppers without running out of room. I even had my garbage bowl on the upper right corner and it never encroached on my space. The board is heavy but the notches on the side of the board make it super easy to handle when you need to flip the board. I segregated my fruits from savory items by giving them each their own side of the board (no one likes their strawberries with a hint of garlic!) and this was a very easy process. The only thing I will say is that you should consider how large your kitchen sink is. My sink is quite small so washing my board is a multiple step process (the board won't fit in the sink, even a little bit). This isn't a complaint about the board at all, more of a practical problem that I will have to deal with. Overall, I can see this being in use in my kitchen for decades if taken care of properly. It will also make my knives last longer so that is another plus!

Charcuterie anyone?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this gorgeous black walnut cutting board to serve a display of charcuterie at a party my husband and I recently had and it was a huge hit. This boo block board is an impressive size and weight. We piled on a variety of meats, cheeses, nuts, spicy jams and jellies as well as olives and it was a truly beautiful display. I can't wait to do this again for the next party. Also, I absolutely LOVE the size of this board for food prep. I can prep an entire stew worth of vegetables on this one board and still have room for slicing bread. I can also carve a turkey because the board will accommodate large food items. I would definitely recommend having one of these in your home on hand.
