Vornado 693 Whole Room Air Circulator Fan with Adjustable Height: Portable Electric Fan, 3 Speeds, Black, ETL Listed

This fan is not as powerful as others I've tried. Disappointed its cooling ability.

Well, one of the three Vornado fans I have had running 24/7 May through October since 2006 has given in to squeeky bearings. I have replaced it with two new Medium Stand Air Circulators. The evolution in design of the stand and switch are great. I expect these two, along with the two remaining from 2006, to be keeping us cool for a very long time to come.

We bought this fan a month ago and are very pleased with our purchase. We definitely recommend this fan.

I bought mine in 2007, and have loved it (although I prefer the variable speed of a tabletop Vornado I already had), BUT… it is so easily knocked over (I noticed that the new ones have 4 little pieces under the bottom to, I assume, help stabilize it). It survived falling on carpet numerous times, but falls on hard flooring has resulted in the grill no longer staying in place because the small top edge of 2 of the 3 clips broke off (see photos below of one intact clip and a broken one) — I tried gorilla tape to hold the grate on, but eventually it pulls away and the grill falls off — and a broken speed control knob on the back. It is cracked and very loose and partially pushed into the center of the fan.p I really thought they would have replaced the odd, unstable base on this by now, so now I have a decision to make about what I buy to replace it.

I like this standing air circulator. It is easy to clean. There is good air flow. a good warranty and made in USA.

I JUST PURCHASE THIS FAN AND MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE IT. WE HAVE AIR CONDITIONERS BUT THE NOISE IS TO LOUD. THIS FAN COOLS MY BEDROOM AND SO QUIET. I WILL BE BUYING ANOTHER ONE SOON.

It is a shame that the pedestal on this fan is not adjustable and sits very low. The fan itself is fantastic the non-adjustable short Pole is ridiculous

I have bought Vornado fans for 30 years. This one preforms as all others--GREAT!!! MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BRAND!!! AND LESS NOISE!!! However, I have noticed that it is not quite the quality as one I just had to get rid of--from 1994--BUT-STILL--IT IS MADE BETTER THAN ANYTHING I FOUND BY ANOTHER BRAND in my research!!!!! VORNADO IS A GREAT FAN--AND I REALLY LIKE THE HEIGHT OF THIS ONE!!!!!!

I love that this fan moves so much air and is yet still so much quieter than any other fan I've owned.

I have the larger version of this fan for a different space. this one is fabulous as well. once you go vornado you never go back. this is a very powerful fan for its size and it's a good fit for a smaller room.

I bought this after moving to an apartment without central AC, and it has made hot summer nights pleasant again! This is just the right height to help bring cool night air from outside in through the window and circulate it throughout the entire bedroom. It allows me to avoid turning on my costly wall unit during the day as well. It is much quieter than one would expect for a fan this powerful, plus it’s made in the USA! Overall very pleased with this purchase.

Purchased a few weeks back. Works very well in our living room. Circulates air as described. Have only needed low speed so far and gets the job done. Will be purchasing more of these in the near future for our office as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy to receive this fan as my house had individual air-conditioning units which means if you were not in the room with the actual air-conditioner but instead in a next door room you did not feel it as well so we put the fan in between the doorways from my dining room and living room to be able to pull the air from the dining room air-conditioner into the living room. The fan definitely did it's job. It is not good looking and doesn't fold away neatly but it works well for its size. The wiring is not the smartest since it comes from the top of the fan instead of the bottom Base stand and does not tuck away neatly. Overall I would recommend this to someone who needs a strong fan but does not care about the luxe or placement of this fan.

I barely heard it at all while it was running, I actually forgot it was on! I would definitely look into buying this fan but I wouldn't spend TOO much money on it. It's not really adjustable but I used it in a smaller sized living room and it kept it so nice and cool. I was not aware of this fan before I tried it but I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a good quality, quiet, portable fan.

The amount of power this small circulator puts out is incredible, I definitely wasn't expecting it to be as strong and as quiet as it is. I would definitely buy this product as it does a great job keeping the house cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air circulator definitely does its job! When we first plugged it in and turned it on I was pleased to feel it working quickly. We used it in a medium sized living room area that gets fairly warm and has no air conditioner of it's own. The product quickly cooled off the room. I actually needed to lower the speed because it was getting too cold at one point. Overall it doesn't take up much room and is fairly easy to move as necessary. There's no handle though. The fan can be a little loud when it's in full speed. It also has an awkward style base. The wire hangs directly from the fan part instead of the base which isn't aesthetically pleasing.
