Luteinizing Hormone is one of the hormones produced by the pituitary gland. It is secreted at very low levels throughout your menstrual cycle. Once a developing egg follicle reaches a certain size, LH secretion surges to high levels. This hormone surge is what triggers ovulation about 24 to 48 hours later. Your LH surge is important because it initiates the beginning of ovulation.

Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from the ovary. It signals the beginning of your fertile period. A positive result indicates the presence of a high amount of LH or LH surge. The amount of LH in your body will begin to decrease after ovulation, so you’ll only get a positive result during that crucial fertile period. Once the egg is released, it is only viable for about 24 hours. After that your fertile window is over. This makes it very important to be able to identify this best time to conceive.

Ovulation may be irregular because of conditions, emotions and other factors in your life. You can’t presume that ovulation always occurs at the same time after menstruation. Therefore, you should test again in each menstrual cycle.

How to do the test?
-Dip the strip into the urine for 3-5 seconds.
-Lay the strip flat.
-Read results in 5 minutes.

How to read the results?
-Positive (LH Surge): Two lines are visible and the test line is equal to or darker than the control line.
-Negative (No LH Surge): No test line or the test line is lighter than the control line.

  • A: Hello! You may test up to 5 days before your missed period (that is, 4 days before the day you expect your period). Because hCG levels vary by person and can be low early on, an early negative does not rule out pregnancy. If you test early and get a Negative, wait 48 hours and test again.

The ovulation stops themselves are great have had no issues. The HCG tests however are AWFUL. Would absolutely not ever use them again! They give false positives. To the point I thought oh it’s just a singular faulty test…no it was the entire pack. Confirmed via blood draw, clear blue, and frer all of which were negative.

Scam scam scam

You have to spend the $20 for this product but then you get charged $75 for the free trial to use the app. There is nowhere to cancel. And honestly, the test strips are not that great of quality. I can’t believe how big of a scam this is.

Buyer Beware!

I purchased the strips from this brand and was prompted to download their app and sign up for their free trial in order to be able to use the strips to their full functionality. I was trying to use these ovulation strips alongside another fertility monitor that provided an entirely FREE to use APP. After a few days my other fertility monitor and app were able to confirm a strong LH rise that matched my symptoms and these strips and app continued to say there was no rise. I immediately stopped using them and forgot to promptly cancel the trial. After receiving notification from PayPal because that’s the only way I know Apple charges me for anything I cancelled the subscription and requested a refund within moments of the transaction going through. After 5 days going back and forth because the refund kept getting denied I get told I needed to cancel my 7 DAY FREE TRIAL on the 5th day in order to avoid being charged. That is misleading and extremely deceptive. Pregmate is denying to refund and hiding behind their “terms and conditions” because they know their product is garbage. This app was $69.99 +tax for the year and isn’t even worth $1. On top of the fact you need to buy the physical strips which aren’t cheap, you’re spending tons of money on this brand that if this is the only product you’re using to determine ovulation and pregnancy planning, you run the risk of not getting accurate information regarding your cycle. I will push this complaint further to the BBB and already left a review on the App Store. Stop stealing peoples hard earned money. BUYER BEWARE! You’re better off spending a couple more bucks on a more expensive fertility monitor that provides way more insight instead of this useless expensive application and strips with poor quality test strips. Brands like this bank on giving you inaccurate info so you have to keep buying and trying to conceive!

Strips + App = Super Helpful

I haven’t tried the pregnancy tests yet but the ovulation strips are great. I used BFP strips with our first pregnancy so I was nervous to try a different brand. We’re trying for our second and my cycles have been different lengths since our first and I was worried I wasn’t ovulating. But lo and behold. The app is super helpful to keep track of everything. Will continue to use these for sure.

Amazing results!

I will never, and I mean never, use another pregnancy test that isn't Pregmate! The accuracy in their pregnancy test is insane. I had a solid line when I was barely 3 weeks pregnant, 9 days before my expected period. I used a different brand to "confirm" and got a faint hard to see line. The difference was incredible.

It works!!!!!
