    Beautiful rug but horrible packaging

    This rug is beautiful, but was shipped to me folded many times into a small rectangle (it is an 8x10 rug) instead of rolled, so it has pretty significant bumps and creases that are going to take a while to work out. Not sure why such a large rug was shipped this way and not rolled up like most rugs are.

It did have a slight odor (new carpet smell) for about a week after it was unrolled and it had a bit of a bump in the middle but they both went away. Overall, very happy with my purchase. I actually ordered a 4x6 and 8x10 for other areas of the house.

    Soft and woven

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rug is not printed, the pattern is woven into the rug. Colors are consistent with photos. Design is muted and subtle The rug has a short pile plush and is soft to the touch. We purchased with the premium pad and it doesn't move (also anchored with furniture). Would benefit from an even thicker pad as it doesn't provide much cushioning underfoot.

    Not great for pets

    The rug itself is fine. I would say as far as color and design, it's okay. It isn't soft and works well for a frequently trafficked area. My issue with this rug is how it holds onto smells. I have 3 dogs who love to lay and roll on rugs. I have a carpet cleaner and do a cleaning once every month or so. However, the fibers in this rug REALLY hold onto bad smells. To give you an example, I went over it with the carpet cleaner 3x and it still reeked of dog. I ended up taking it outside and used a 30% vinegar solution on it to get the smell out. The , once it dried, I went back over it with the Bissell pets formula and a pass with water. Carpet ended up reeking again. So, now it is sitting on my back patio in a heap. I'll probably use the vinegar technique again, but I won't put it down where the dogs live. Just to give reference, I use the Bissell Pet carpet cleaner. It does amazing on an ivory rug that I also got from target (also used to let the dogs on it, but got tired of having to clean it frequently). So it's not the machine or overusing soap
