Q: Is it recommended to take this along with the Baby and Me 2 choline, Folate and iron pill? Or is that too much choline?

  • A: Hello! Thank you for your question. Due to our tablet matrix, DHA was not able to be added to our prenatal multis. For this reason, we created a separate product - DHA + Choline. Both ingredients support fetal brain development and was formulated to ensure that when taking it with your prenatal, you still fall well within the safe limits for choline.     I was happy to find a supplement that’s both Choline and DHA for my prenatal. It can have a slightly fishy aftertaste from the algae but if you eat it with food then it’s ok.

    The quality of this vitamin is top notch; however, I do burp it up. It might be due to my sensitivity as in I’m my first trimester but I’ve been pushing through for the benefit of my baby.

    Great but tastes so much like orange and lemon zest!!

    I take this vitamin with the baby and me 2 prenatal multivitamin. It’s a great supplement, but this one leaves a STRONG orange peel/lemon peel in your mouth. For me it’s sometimes hard to keep down or sometimes not to gag with them.

    Received expired medication

    Received item in February 2025. It expired in July 2024. The new capsules smell like lemon/citrus. When I opened these I didn't get that smell so I knew something was off. The product itself is 5 stars but the experience of receiving expired meds was 1 star.

    Food Aversion after starting Dha & Choline

    I have been a loyal customer for Vegan plant based Prenatal Vitamins. my husband learnt about the requirement and benefits of DHA & Choline so we ordered these as it complements the prenatal. After starting DHA & Choline supplement I started getting the feeling of food aversion. I thought is the part and parcel of 1st tri. I stopped taking them for a couple days I was normal and eating and the day I take it after food (lunch) I am hit with burps and I can’t eat food at all no snacks no dinner no milk no juice.

    Pregnancy Vitamins

    I am now 38 weeks and I have been taking these my entire pregnancy. I do not love the smell and do get burps occasionally but still better than other brands. I am planning to take these for post natal as well.

The research on choline during gestation and attention span in children later is really what motivates me to supplement it in addition to my diet. Taste is fine, no fishy burps.

    This second pregnancy, much different

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This second pregnancy, much different than my first, resulted in some pretty significant food aversions starting in the first trimester and carrying through the end of the second trimester. One of those was to eggs, which had always been a reliable source of choline for me, and I was grateful to find a reputable supplement to support the growth and development of this baby.

Another brand I had tried, tasted bad and I kept tasing fish all day after which made my nausea so much worse. I tried these as a last effort and I’m glad I did because it was a night and day difference.
