My god these are horrible oven mitts. Went to take a cast iron skillet out of the oven today after it had cooked a frittata for 20 mins at 400 degrees. I had to drop the pan back on the rack because I burned my hand before I could get the pan to the stovetop. I have a visible burn on my hand from maybe 3 seconds of holding the pan with the mitt on. Threw the brand new oven mitts away and am buying new ones.

my hands still feel like they're getting burned when using these to take out hot pans from the oven. yea, they work for 3 or 4 seconds. but holding anything hot beyond that, you'll feel the burn.

I would give -0- stars if I could! What a waste of money! Had these for 2.5 months and they both have a hole in the crease of the thumb! I found the hole by burning myself pulling dinner out of a 450° oven!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

does not protect from heat
The first time i used these oven mitts I baked cookies, went to pull the pan out of the oven, and within 10 seconds of holding the pan the heat got through to my hand and burned- and seared the oven mitt. Good quality oven mitts should be able to handle a pan at 375 for a few seconds without burning.
