Q: If lifted from the base before it boils does the switch stay on when put back on the base?

submitted by Lm - 7 months ago

  • A: Thank you for your question. The Hamilton Beach 1.7L StainSteel Kettle switch will remain in the on position if removed from the base as it will continue to heat when the kettle is placed back on the base. This maintains the water temperature until either the unit auto shutoff engages or the switch is turned off manually.

meh

This kettle heats water just fine. why I gave it 2 stars - the lid is small, making it more difficult to fill with water or clean. the lid also seems flimsy compared to past kettles I've owned. the window to see the amount of water in the kettle is only on one side, making it hard to use if you are left handed, or the faucet handle is on the right side. I am going to look for an alternative and keep this as a back up.

this is my 3rd kettle. I keep buying it because it’s been pretty reliable. My last one lasted less than a year. I’m quite disappointed as I use this kettle daily. I hope this one lasts more than a year

Electric Kettle vs Kettle

what is the difference between Electric Kettle and Kettle? My ELECTRIC KETTLE (model 80880G) was not listed under Electric Kettles but was listed under Kettles. Took far too long to register

Just got

I used it 2 days. So far so good. Had a Cosori Kettle which started leaking and leaching, so I’m hoping for better results from a familiar brand.
