    This kettle heats water just fine. why I gave it 2 stars - the lid is small, making it more difficult to fill with water or clean. the lid also seems flimsy compared to past kettles I've owned. the window to see the amount of water in the kettle is only on one side, making it hard to use if you are left handed, or the faucet handle is on the right side. I am going to look for an alternative and keep this as a back up.

    Hope this one is better

    I had to get rid of the last one because the plug got hot when it boiled a kettle of water. It was only 3 1/2 - 4 years old. I had to get an electrician to replace the outlet.

    Economical Electric Kettle

    This my go-to kettle for tea every morning. I like that you can see the water level so you don't over-fill the kettle. I appreciate the auto shutoff feature so the water doesn't boil over. The kettle is sturdy and sleek.

    Looks great, makes cold water into hot water, convenent got one for home and one for work. Great product. We will.see how long it lasts. Our last two were from different brands and neither one lasted two years.

    Wish my old Hamilton Beach hadn't died

    The new design leave a lot to be desired: 1) the opening for pouring in water is too narrow and further limited by the angle of the top when it's open, 2) volume measurement guide is in litres not cups, 3) cord from base is very short, 4) spout is wide and perforated making it hard to control pour, 5) impossible to clean because the opening for pouring in water is so small.

    the spout filter fell in 1.5 years of use

    the spout filter broke and cannot be reinstalled. without the filter, the kettle cannot stop heating when water is boiling

    I've only had this electric kettle for 4 days but it is doing everything it was promised to do. I get my water for tea boiled quickly and without any mess or inconvenience. I hope it continues that way!
