Back to the Roots 5pk Organic Flower Seeds

All the seeds were labeled for 2023, not expecting a very good germination rate for these.

Haven’t tried the seeds yet, but they show mixed zinnia and I only received red.

The flowers in the package look beautiful so I hope they're easy to grow, it's just too early to tell right now. I haven't had them long enough.

And it took a while to get a sprout, nothing for days and days and then suddenly pop there we are! I am looking forward to seeing some beautiful sunflowers this summer! I will update later on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been buying this seeds for few years now. I really like that are so many seeds in the package. The sunflowers grow tall, but the flowers themselves are small, like decorative ones. The petals are beautiful, bright yellow lemon. Almost all the seeds germinated, and last year seedlings were very strong and dense, even though I planted them early and the nights were cold. They bloomed for a long time and brought me a lot of joy. So I’m very happy to receive these seeds again this year.

I think if I can save the seeds for summer, the result will be much better. Easy to use, nice packaging, guarantee growing if planting from Febuary to June. I will repurchase new bag of sunflower seeds in spring and grow them again.

The plants grew strong and healthy, and will hopefully grow to beautiful flowers. I also like that the seeds are organic and from a brand that focuses on sustainability. Overall, this felt like a good value for the quality and results, and I would definitely buy these again.

I couldn't get the seeds to grow! The packag6had quite a few seeds in it, which is a good value. If the seeds had grown, they would have been beautiful sunflowers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited to plant until the timing was right for my zone (Southern California, Zone 10). My Lemon Queen sunflower seed packet included 13 seeds. I started them indoors using the Back to the Roots 10-cell greenhouse germination kit and their organic potting mix. Everything was easy to set up and beginner-friendly. I like the breathable greenhouse lid, biodegradable pots, and that the seeds and soil are organic and non-GMO. Still early in the process, but I’m happy with the quality so far and excited to see these sunflowers grow and attract pollinators later this season.

Set up was quite small because I wanted to try smaller batches. But it came out into small yet beautiful sunflowers. They are really strong amidst the Texas weather!

The packets are clearly labeled, and the seeds were simple to plant without any mess. I haven’t gotten any sprouts yet, but the instructions say some varieties take longer to germinate, so I’m giving them time. The mix of flowers is beautiful, and I’m excited to see how they turn out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a really great experience growing the Back to the Roots Organic Sunflower ‘Lemon Queen’ seeds. They were super easy to plant, and the instructions were straightforward. Most of my seeds sprouted with no problem, and they even started reseeding themselves the following year, which was a nice surprise. Definitely a low-maintenance win. One of my favorite things about these sunflowers is how many pollinators they bring in. My garden was buzzing — literally — with bees, butterflies, and even birds coming for the seeds. It made the whole space feel so alive. Aesthetically, they’re gorgeous. The soft lemon-yellow petals with the darker centers really pop, and they brighten up the garden in such a pretty, cheerful way. I also loved that each plant produced multiple blooms throughout the season, so there was always something beautiful to look at from mid-summer into fall. They also make great cut flowers — I brought a few inside and they looked amazing in a vase. A couple of things to keep in mind: the seeds are on the smaller side, so they’re not really the type you'd grow for snacking, though the birds absolutely love them. And although most people (myself included) had great results, I did see a few folks mention inconsistent blooming. I’m guessing it mostly comes down to growing conditions. The good thing is the company backs them with a “100% guaranteed to grow” promise, so they’ll send replacements if something goes wrong. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the ‘Lemon Queen’ seeds if you want something easy, beautiful, and great for pollinators. They’ve been a lovely addition to my garden.
