I purchased a month ago after a long hiatus from running, but loyal garmin fan. Love it!! This watch is amazing and has all the features plus more. The music is great and love that I can sync with Spotify. Ease of use for all buttons and I’ve only tapped into the basics of all the features. Great price point and I went with white this time - no regrets at all! This is THE running watch to get!

Got this last month and paid extra for the music aspect but have not been able to download any music. Seems it can only be done with paid subscriptions. I don’t want a paid subscription because I only want to play music while running. Otherwise, I like the watch. Better than my previous Fitbit.
Very light and comfortable

This is the second garmin watch I’ve owned. The first being the 645 forerunner. I feel the 255 is more user friendly and has smarter technology. My only wish is that it had greater pixel quality. The upside of this is that it is easier to see in direct sunlight. But when using the face it option of personalizing the watch face with graphics, the color is washed. Other than this, it does everything I want and need it to.

Bought 255 music 2 week’s ago and the daily training workouts have been great. Not overdoing it anymore with the advice the watch is giving. Haven’t done the music yet, but everything else is great.

I want a full refund bc this watch isn’t worth half the price tag. Let’s start with the main screen that locks after 2/3 seconds and you have to punch a pin every single time. Secondly the “music” part of this watch is all fabricated YouTube music won’t work at all and Spotify buffers the entire time so unless im in my garage running a on a treadmill so I can stay connected to my WiFi it’s all redundant. This watch is far from advertised and COMPLETELY OVER PRICED. Waiting for shipping label Order Number: 104676125960

If you've set a passcode on your watch and no longer want it, you can hold UP, select System> Passcode, then enter your passcode and disable it. Once you've disabled it, you won't be prompted to enter your passcode. For music, you can download MP3 files to the watch directly using the computer for easy offline listening. YouTube music does require some connection to the internet to stream music. This can be via cell or Wi-Fi (more info here: http://ms.spr.ly/6429s8VYt). If you have a Spotify Premium membership you can use the Spotify app on your watch for offline listening. You will need to download content while connected to your phone or Wi-Fi, first (more on that here: http://ms.spr.ly/6420s8VYQ). »CP

Solid watch with a good size screen. Light weight. Battery is good, lasts anywhere between 12 to 16 days depending on how much you're in GPS mode. Customize it with watch straps and screen protectors. Big fan of Garmin watches and this one is up there!
Multiple issues after making the switch from 645

I recently transitioned from the Forerunner 645 Music to the Forerunner 255 Music, but unfortunately, the experience has been frustrating rather than an upgrade. Upon receiving the device, Garmin support had to send me a USB-C cable so I could install Garmin software on my MacBook and update the watch, as it arrived without the necessary software pre-installed. I've attempted to use the watch for cardio, swimming, and cycling, but it consistently fails to track activities accurately and often stops on its own without any input. Additionally, the backlight feature is unreliable—working less than 10% of the time—and the watch face resets every morning, requiring me to manually reconfigure it each day. Overall, it’s been a disappointing experience. I've been a longtime fan of Garmin products, but these ongoing issues are making me seriously consider switching to an Apple Watch.
Wow! What a difference!!

Started with the instinct 2 thinking I was going to absolutely destroy my first smartwatch but was not happy with the inability to listen to music through it as well as the limitations with the screen. Got ahold of the forerunner 255 music and love it. Everything I need without being distracting. 500 s o no memory was a huge plus and battery typically lasts me 2.5 days before I've gotten near the danger zone. Typically before then I charge it while washing dishes and I'm good to go again. Excellent first smart watch.

I had a Garmin 245 and decided to upgrade to the 255. The 255 has better navigation to use some of the features that were more difficult to access on the 245. There are several features on the 255 that make this watch more useful. Still waiting for Garmin to make a watch with cellular capability.
