Idk why the marketing of this brand doesn't make it more clear, but this particular mask along with the strengthening shampoo were apparently designed for straight thin hair. I have thick textured hair with a bit of wave/curl, and while the Blake Brown Nourishing shampooo/mask in the wild nectar sandal scent worked great for me, this one just made my hair poof even more. After I visited the BB website I realized the difference in the 'nourishing' vs 'strengthening' combos, and then gifted it to a friend with thin blonde hair who LOVES it. Good product, just not for me, but I love the Nourishing combo from BB which apparently is indeed formulated for textured/wavy curly hair.

Originally was hesitant to purchase because of all of the negative reviews I was seeing about it drying out people’s hair but it smelled amazing so I took the chance and I am SO glad I did. It’s not drying at all, quite the opposite for me. Is such a nice conditioning mask for my wavy, fine hair that I have quite A LOT of! And the smell will stay in your hair until the next wash which I love. Only thing is, if you’re super sensitive to fragrances like I am and migraine prone, you may want to avoid since the scent is so potent. I just use it sparingly to avoid a trigger. I will be repurchasing because I love the product. Good quality but would make it just a little bit more conditioning like It’s a 10 products. I also wish it was a little bit cheaper. Would still recommend though. Five stars for the fragrance alone!

9/10 drug store conditioners or hair masks leave your fine hair super weighed down, greasy and just gives you a matted head look. THIS IS A MIRACLE FOR FINE HAIR. Give me super soft tame ends without the grease or the weight. I will give me same review about the smell as I did the shampoo. I personally like the nectar santal smell a lot more. This one is a little more musky/warm which I'm personally not a fan of, esp in the summertime. You can over it up with the santal hair/body mist though. Overall though its a great combo with the other products.

I use Blake Browns products twice a week and different brands once a week as a dermatologist recommended. Since washing your scalp is super important. I use it with the pre mask, after mask, leave in and mousse. My hair looks and feels as healthy, curly and shiny as it did when I was a teenager. It's amazing and now it's the only brand on my shelf. My routine: I alternate between the Nourishing Shampoo + Mask and the Strengthening Shampoo + Mask, and use the Leave-In Potion and Glam Mousse every time. Immediately: I used the nourishing set first, and then this set was such an awesome combination to alternate. Continued to feel so much smoother and healthy Now: I constantly catch myself running my fingers through it -- it's just that soft and smooth. I put my hair in a claw clip and use the few minutes to gua sha and boom SMOOTH! For reference: I used to swear by Kérastase or Hempz, and would get so bummed if I forgot my JVN Styling Milk when traveling. These blow them out of the water!! If hair comes up in conversation, I'm recommending this line. I truly love it -- and my hair shows it.
