Great for windy areas!
I bought this because we just lost an expensive canopy umbrella due to wind! I love that this comes with sand bags to fill! It can tighten and adjust to hold an umbrella! It looks nice and has a waterproof cover as to avoid rust! If it lasts me a few years it will have been well worth the buy! It is sturdy and nice quality. It was verrrrry easy to assemble and holds our new deck umbrella extremely stable and well!

Excellent base.
At first I didn't want fabric bags. But they hold 200 pounds of sand and that's enough for the umbrella. Many people buy the smaller 100 pound base and it's not enough. So I am pleased. Though I'd recommend a bag that can hold 4 -50 pound bags of sand without opening their wrapper. That would save a lot of trouble pouring each bag into the canvas bag. But still I highly recommend it.

Works - it's heavy - but cover is not durable
The base works as intended for a 15' triple size umbrella; however, the fabric cover is poor quality. Very thin and fading already due to sun exposure. It also doesn't fit right around the base. If it were the same material as the sand bags, it would have been a lot more durable and better looking. A molded plastic cover of some sort would have been good too. I don't expect the cover to last too much longer, but will seek another solution. It's an inexpensive but functional base for a big umbrella.

Great stand. Cleverly designed. Holds the umbrella in place even when very windy. I use it for a huge triple umbrella. I believe ifs 15 ft long. First stand was a total fail flipping over but this one is great!

Sturdy and easy set up, rust resistant
We purchased a cantilever overhang umbrella to replace our old regular umbrella. We thought the base we had fit would also fit with the cantilever, however it did not. So when I came across this base for a market umbrella it was a must. Assembly was really easy with no crazy tool that is needed and within a few minutes we put the umbrella onto the base. We live in a valley which can get windy so for extra security we did fill the base with sands. Easy to fill also. I am looking forward to using this umbrella by the pool as soon as warmer weather hits. For now it has given shade on sunny days and a great place to eat lunch. It has proven to weather and rust resistant as we have had it out all winter.

Easy to assemble, convenient storage
Something that I really like about this umbrella base is how easily it can be assembled and taken down when the season is over. Without the filled sandbags, the box is compact, lightweight and easy to store. It takes less than 10 minutes to assemble or take apart the base and doesn't require much hardware. All of the pieces just slide together, with the exception of a couple bolts to secure the cross-base. It is well designed for easy assembly. Once assembled, it feels very sturdy. It has a wide base that provides good stability in the wind. Sandbags provide additional stability. The bags are provided and only require filling, but I chose not to use them. Since the bags are hidden under the cover, I figured that it didn't matter what they looked like... I found it more convenient and less messy to use bags of play sand. The next season, I can use the play sand to refill my kids' sandbox and buy new bags to put in the base. The cover stretches tightly over the base for a smooth look and secures in place with clips. It is easily removable for washing or one could power wash it. The fabric is durable and waterproof. Overall, I would say it is good quality base and it looks nice.

Easy Build and Works Perfectly!
Building the base takes about 7-10 minutes. It is super easy to put together. The part that took the longest is filling the sand bags with sand. And oh boy are they super heavy once filled so I would definitely get some help with carrying them after they are filled. The black canvas sand bags have velcro closure and there is very minimal sand that leaks out once they are securely closed. I actually put my sand in large trash bags first and then tied the bags closed. Then placed those plastic bags inside the velcro bags. Definitely helps reduce the amount of sandy mess. I especially love that there is an additional cover that goes over the sand bags and the entire base. Its more for cosmetic/asthetic looks and does make it look nice and neat. The base is sturdy and stays up rights and stands tall. The hollow tube has plenty of space for various sizes of umbrella poles, so any size should fit. My umbrella had plenty of extra room. There is a tightening screw that holds the umbrella inside securely and steadily. I have not had any issues with it tipping over or falling, even on fairly windy nights or during rain. Oh, and the canvas cover and canvas sand bags are water resistant so that is a nice added bonus!

This umbrella base stand was perfect for my umbrella for my backyard. I'm not sure what the average costs are but I got this one anyway. It holds an umbrella that tilts and is pretty huge. Get this one.

I purchased this umbrella base stand to hold my round umbrella, and it's the perfect size and weight for it. It's heavy enough to hold the umbrella, but not too heavy to move around on the front porch without throwing your back out! It's a nice, classic design, not cheap or tacky looking.

So much better then bricks for an angled umbrella
This is the only way we are going to secure our umbrella stand on the patio from now on. In the past we used large 15x15 cement pavers that were 2-3 inches thick. These worked but were an extreme hassle to place and move. We were concerned during wind storms that these would slide off since they only touched the 2 inches of the flat piece on each of the four legs. You can even use the bags and store the side rails and corner pieces into the sand bags. This can be assembled and then stored in a smaller box in our garden shed.

Cheaper than stores
Used only one day but seems excellent choice. Lightweight to move about to where I want it to stay, then sturdy when filled with Sand.
