Description
The cordless Dyson Gen5outsize has the suction power of a corded vacuum.¹ It has HEPA filtration for our deepest, most hygienic clean. It's engineered with the larger size, power, intelligence, and additional run time to deep clean larger spaces. It has a 25% wider cleaner head and 150% larger bin compared to the Dyson Gen5detect, as well as twice the run time. The Dyson Gen5outsize covers more floor with each pass and allows for more cleaning between bin emptying and charges. It intelligently optimizes suction power based on floor type and debris picked up.⁵ The LCD screen indicates when to keep cleaning an area and when to move on. The Fluffy Optic™ cleaner head reveals invisible dust on hard floors. The extra wide de-tangling Digital Motorbar™ XL cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors without tangles. Q: Is the HEPA filter really washable? to identify its the stand-up pleated cylindrical one that looks like paper. The similar filter on the Miele cordless isn't washable, so worth asking.

Fantastic Machine
Fantastic machine, we thought our house was clean till we had this Dyson, it shows up every bit of dust with the green light on the attachment, battery very good as well it lasts on auto about 45 mins which is great. Dyson have come a long way from 25 years ago when we brought our very first Dyson, Great technology.

Brush bar
It’s great, but the suction can be a little strong on certain carpet piles and when this happen the brush bar stops but it doesn’t restart when lifted off, you have to turn the machine off and on again which is annoying but it’s a small issue apart from that it’s great!

This Dyson Gen 5 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner was sent to us as a replacement to our Dyson V11 cleaner which had a faulty battery. The process was very well done and we now enjoy the new cleaner. This cleaner is a bit smaller and a bit lighter than the V11. It is quieter and very easy to use. We are very pleased with the process and the result.

A great purchase
I decided to upgrade my Dyson when I had parquet floors fitted. I’m really impressed with it’s performance. I love the laser light Small particle detector which works on small crumbs and dog hairs when used on a smooth floor. Its power and lightness Is great on the stairs. A happy purchase.

Hard to push
Ive had my machine just over a week. Doesn’t come with a manual had to download one. I couldn’t push the machine on the rug, kept stopping. I’ve never had a Dyson before and had to google why. There is a red slider on the motorised head you move to lessen suction or make it more. Manual didn’t say anything about slider either. I have now pushed the slider to the - side. Much easier to push but still a little hard. Might have purchased a different machine. Reviews did say very hard to push I should have taken more notice. I don’t recommend this machine because of the difficulty to push

Love the larger head and absolutely love the hair screw attachment for my dog beds I wish every attachment had the light Very happy with the suction and ease of the Crevice attachment within the regular head Only complaint is you must turn the vacuum off and on again to restart the spinning of the regular attachment after using the crevice tool. Far better clean
We thought our carpets and floors were clean before but this Dyson Gen5detect took it to a far better clean, evidence in the collection bin that was sucked up. Battery life is far better too. Filter is next level.

Effective but heavy
The top end is extremely heavy. I had not realized how heavy it would be to manoever. Otherwise it is fabulous. Sucks up much more than my other vacuums. Next time I would buy the smaller reservoir and empty it more frequently. My housekeeper will not use it as she says her arms hurt too much.

Disappointing
Received this vacuum about a week ago and the first time I used it was very disappointing. The machine roller continued to stop moving whilst vacuuming, which I did not understand why. I had to keep turning the on/off button on and off for it to vacuum and only then for a few seconds, then the roller stops moving. It Does not want to vacuum my rug which is a heavy one not flimsy. The battery does not last long and takes 4 hours to charge. I am considering returning it to the place of purchase if I m able. It costs a lot and it does not vacuum like I expected it should.
