Terrible quality.
Terrible quality. Pressboard cracks as you put it together. The circle screw “metal” pieces snap as you screw them in. I am not particularly strong for this to be user error. Side board came with crack in it. You’re expected to repackage and send back all the broken pieces to get a $130 refund. This was a complete waste.

I love this so much! Definitely mount it to your wall. I would also recommend doing this with another person just because it’s kinda heavy but I’m also very weak.But I loved it and it was quite easy to set up, quick shipping to!!!

Look to the big blue box store for alternative
Assembly of the item was typical for this type of thing (2 hours). The back pieces - the cardboard-like material was warped, so it took more time than expected to fit in nicely. What was wrong made us actually take it apart and return it: (1) the ball bearings in the drawer slides fell out when we pushed the drawers in and therefore one of the drawers unusable, (2) the stickers to cover the cams were so old they were yellow and not very sticky despite manufacture date on the sticker of March '25 (purchase in 11/25) (3) the top left side (piece #4) was bashed in despite no damage to the outside box, which means no quality control. They intentionally packaged a damaged piece. We needed it for Christmas to put a gift on, so we assembled it with the damaged piece, hoping to get a replacement, only to find out that there is no replacement of parts, just replacement of the entire unit - only after you bring in the whole unit, disassembled. But for the principle of the thing, we did that. We then found out that there is another one at the big blue box store called Brimnes that is nearly identical, with the sides all in one piece, which is a much better choice.

Quality control is awful!
Terrible to assemble! The quality control department must have taken the day off in the factory. I've had to dremel most of the slotted pieces where the backing pieces slide in. They're 1/4" off and while that may not sound like much, it's enough to get real close to being thrown in the trash. I would never buy this brand again and I'm pretty well over ordering this kind of thing from Target.

Made a bit cheap for a $200 price tag. Drawers scrapes when opening and closing. Try adjusting them but it is not possible to not have them scrape. Bought two and they both do it so it want one lemon.

nearly impossible to assemble
I ran into so many roadblocks putting this together. Screws were stripping, screw locks were breaking, and it was hard to put the pieces together. finally I hit a wall where the backing won't fit into the slot it's supposed to go into, causing it to stick up and preventing me from installing the other piece flush with the back. I think I'll have to saw it down or something to put it together. not worth your time or money, unfortunately.

item was easy to assemble. I personally liked the fact that it split into 2 seprate pieces because I had to lift at an angle to set it in place where I wanted it. 2 of the backing pieces needed the placement channel adjusted do to them not completely lining in the corners. I don't really care to much for the printed wood grain texture but for the money it works for what I needed/wanted giving space constraints (only had about an 1/8 of and inch in wiggle room in the width). An opening was added to run a power to strip to the bottom shelf so phone or other devices can be charged since the book shelf is along side of a murphy bed and it doesnt't provide any other room for a night stand

I’m a single adult female who does enjoy building furniture by herself, and i bought two of these for my kitchen. This was the biggest pain to build. The tracks for the back pieces on mine were ever so slightly off between the sides and bottom shelving unit that it was nearly impossible to put together. I had to recruit the help of some family members to help me complete BOTH units. The first one took me four hours to get to putting the top half and bottom half together. While I love the style of these I HATED the process of putting these together. The directions are hard and challenging to understand in some spots. So, if you don’t care about how hard these are to build (especially by yourself) then the finish product looks great.

Terrible quality, difficult assembly, unstable
I had ordered a Room Essentials bookcase previously and that was surpringly sturdy and easy to assemble. This bookcase from Costway, however, is terrible. The pieces are thin and not sturdy, and assembly is extremely difficult. Parts don't line up, etc. Worst part is I don't know how we could ever return it without dissembling and shipping back. It's not worth the sale price even. I am doubtful this will hold up more than a few months.

do not waste your time on this. nothing but problem after problem. ball berrings fell out of drawer then holes werent drilled in correct spot so drawers wouldnt fit together. nightmare. i always take bad reviews with a grain of salt…but i was SO wrong this time. ended up having to return to store in pieces. absolute waste of time and effort.

Nice bookshelf
I had been looking for a bookshelf with drawers for a long time. This bookshelf will do but I wish the drawers were bigger. As you can see in the pictures, the drawers are smaller than they appear in the product image. Assembly took about 2.5 hrs. Overall, happy with my purchase and price (under $200).
