I had the older white one first and it was an amazing gate! (They don't make them anymore) I wanted to get that one again but couldn't find it. So I got this one. It does work and is very sturdy but it can be difficult to install even tho the paper makes it very easy. The silver parts that actually hook into the wall anchors slide and don't turn so it's hard to find the perfect length... but if you can get it right it's an amazing gate!

Functional, sturdy and stylish. Used at the top of a flight of stairs. I like that it is easily removed from the brackets for storage when not in use. I feel confident that my granddaughter is safe when she is near the stairs.

Very sturdy gate with very clear installation instructions. Operation is simple and truly one-handed, but still toddler-proof. I've had gates from Regalo in the past and this one is much sturdier with better fabrication... hands down. I am using it at the top of stairs with double banister so I had to buy extension pieces for both sides to attach to, yet the gate is still very sturdy.

Would definitely recommend this gate! There’s a reason it costs more than some, it seems sturdy and well built. I don’t have to worry about my child pulling it off the stairwell, as the things on the ends of the gate are screwed into the wall, not just suctioned there. I imagine we’ll use this for quite a few years!

We’ve been pretty happy with this gate overall since we installed it. The directions weren’t the easiest to follow, but the wall guide was helpful to ensure proper placement. It’s very nice looking and actually blends in well with the look of our stairs. Opening it is not super intuitive though, so we always have to show people how to do it when they’re over. I also have to say that Toddleroo’s customer service is fantastic. We had to contact them for an issue with a part. They were really helpful and shipped out a replacement quickly.

I like very much, my little boys are not happy hhh no more access to the kitchen.

Nice sturdy gate. Our install took some extra thinking and planning due to a weird stair setup where the two banisters at the top are not aligned to each other, so I had to add wood to one banister to have it line up with the other one. I got a $3 2x3 piece of wood cut into two banister-height planks at my local hardware store and attached each to a banister using 3 1/2 in wood screws. I also used a $10 roll of vinyl "peel and stick" furniture wallpaper to wrap the planks so that they match my black banisters, this was a lot less effort than staining/painting the wood and the color is close enough, for about the cost of materials. I am very happy I didn't buy a $35 "banister kit" made of cheap zip ties and thin strips of wood or similar ones that use a plastic clamp. Drilling into the banister is so much more solid and solid than these other temporary approaches. Filling in the screw holes with wood filler later on will be easy and inexpensive. Once I had the wood set up, the gate itself took me about an hour to install and adjust properly. We are very pleased with the end result. The gate is very sturdy, blends into our banister very well and looks very nice and stylish. It is very easy and smooth to open and close.

Perfect! I have a German Shorthair Pointer and two cats, so you know baby gates are in every. single. doorway. The height on this is PERFECT! He cannot jump over it like most gates. Installation was a breeze and the color is simple enough to blend with my decor. Slowly going to change all gates to this one!

This is a great baby gate. Not only does it stop the baby from getting into the room she's not supposed to be in but the puppy as well. We also bought two more for our back door so that we can have it open without baby escaping and kitchen so that we can keep her and the puppy out of unsafe areas while cleaning or cooking. Don't think...JUST BUY IT!!

I received the NorthStates ToddleRoo Model 5052 Tall Easy Swing and Lock Gate Series 2 in warm white a couple of weeks ago and I am not sure how I lived without it. I have been looking for a gate for my elderly dog because, as much as she loves to follow me around, stairs are horrible for her hips. Although it is made for kids, it works for my large dog that cannot jump. I like how easy it is to use. Having a baby gate can be a chore to open and close it all the time. The Tally Easy Swing and Lock gate easily opens and closes each time. It is heavy-duty and built to last. Although, it might be hard to keep the warm white color clean. After installation, it was already a little dirty, but it was easy to clean with soap, water, and a dishcloth. It took some time to install for a beginner DIY, but it has easy-to-follow directions. You will need a tape measure, electric screwdriver (and/or drill), screwdriver, level, and possibly a stud finder. It is easy to adjust the size of the gate to the doorway or stairwell. I am considering repurchasing another gate for my other stairwell. I would recommend it to kid parents and pet parents alike. I really like this gate, it’s nice and high and it keeps kids and pets in place. I like the color white and this fits perfect in our doorway. It didn’t take the paint off like some did in previous years.

I’ll be honest- I think this could be a really lovely way to keep my baby from getting that special giggle when she knows she’s climbing the stairs without us. If only I weren’t so intimidated by the installation! I’ve had this around my house longer than I’d like to admit. I suggest it if you have some knowledge of gate installs and some free time and energy, all things that I’m sadly lacking.

It keeps the kids where they need to be, easy to assemble and put together, I would say though that it could be made a little bit better as one of the rails/poles came out of the box already bent, so it is a thin metal. But it serves its purpose.

This swing and lock gate works just as intended! Now that we have a crawler in the home, we needed this gate to keep our little one from leaving out of the play room. Reading the instructions, I thought installing would be a difficult process, but it wasn't. We were able to get it set up in less than 30 mins and it is very secure. I am extremely pleased with the safety and quality of this gate. Also, the color is right on time as it blends perfectly with the room and floor!

Well if your looking for a nice gate to keep kids or pets out of a space or place this is it... First the height is great it was very sturdy and pretty easy to put together you definitely need a drill for the install easy to follow instructions and definitely a recommend.

I love this tall easy swing & lock gate. It was really easy to install. Instructions are easy to follow and well written. Gate is the perfect height, it’s taller than standard gates. The pins on the gate make it super easy to make adjustments to fit the width of your space. The gate swings freely when you open it and it locks securely. My 6 year old cannot get it open and he’s an escape artist. This gate is really high quality and is the best gate I’ve had. I highly recommend this gate for any space you need to block off but want a swing door.

Great stylish baby gate. Love that this is a metal baby gate and it’s not offensive looking. We have used some big bulky gray ones in the past and they are just so in your face, this baby gate is slim and kind of blends in with the rest of the fixtures in the house. It’s easy to install and not too complicated to open. You can adjust the width which is also a plus.

This baby gate is great for large walkways. It’s also very nice looking and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. So I’m really happy with how it looks. We use it in the hallway to keep the baby from entering in to the rooms. It’s very sturdy and was easy to assemble. I can open it with one hand, which is a must for me when holding the little one in my arms. Came with all the hardware needed for installation. The style looks great in my home. This gate can be used at the top of a stair case also. Very happy with the look and how easy it is to open with one hand. It’s built very well and will last me a long while.

This Toddleroo by North States, Easy Swing and Lock Stairway Gate is perfect for the step I have by my front door entrance. My son is 10 months and starting to cruise and is able to crawl up steps, so I’m continually having to keep him away from this tiled entryway step. This gate keeps him safe and is very easy to use. Since this is our main entryway, I needed something that would be very intuitive and easy to use, and this gate is it! It swings and locks easily, and allows the gate to swing whichever way you set the guides. Installation was easy and the directions were straightforward with guides to help for wall placement. I would definitely recommend this stair gate to keep any little ones safe!

This baby gate was easy to install. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I love that it securely latches closed, keeping my baby safe. It also does an excellent job of keeping my dogs confined to one area when needed. The gate can open in either direction, which is convenient for going up and down the stairs. To open the gate, you press down on the button while pulling up. To close it, you simply shut it, ensuring it latches on. The gate has a matte black finish. It blends in nicely with my decor.
