Fine for the price
This is our second Mr Coffee espresso maker. We had the older version of this and replaced with the similar because I wanted something compact compared to the fancier types. It’s fine for the price point but it’s annoying that it splatters coffee on the counter when it brews. That’s why I replaced the old one, thinking it was breaking. But this one does it too. Frustrating. But we’ve never had the issue that multiple people say about them exploding.

Small but mighty workhorse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally broke this small but mighty expresso maker out! So wish I had done so earlier! It is a little workhorse. I love that I can use regular coffee grinds to make the expresso part. You do need to read the instructions and will take a time or two to get used to it. The milk frother feature worked great. This was much easier than I envisioned it to be. So excited I can now make a latte at home! The parts all can be disassembled so it doesn't seem like it will be hard to clean.

Low quality, long brew time
I do not recommend this time. It’s so cheaply made, it’s a really poor upgrade of the previous design and build. It takes forever to actually brew the 4 shots, and the whole machine just seems poorly made.

Will burn your hand.
This thing is so dangerous like ticking bomb. Small canister only hold less than a cup. If you frothing, runs out before you finished. Then you have to unplug, release pressure and reset if you lucky not injured during the process. The engineer who designed this machine must be fired.

You have to fill the water up every time you change the setting because it spits out as much water as you put in which is annoying. The steamer doesn’t work that great compared to other espresso machines

Good machine, not long lasting
I like that this machine is easy to use and makes 4 shots of espresso at one time. I had it for less than two months before the frother would constantly blow out steam, even in off position. This is the second Mr. Coffee machine that only lasted 2 months.

Dangerous machine...
NO!! BAD PURCHASE!!! I purchased this machine around the holiday season as a gift for my daughter. She didn’t actually attempt to use it until after the New Year. The very first time she used it, it literally exploded hot liquid and coffee grounds all over my kitchen. I’m grateful my daughter had gone to the opposite side of the kitchen and didn’t get injured. I’d thrown the box in the recycling bin, so I couldn’t return for a refund.
