So far smelly and NOT wood
Description says wood structure, which I took to mean that the main structure (the vertical post) was made of wood. But it's not. It's cardboard tubes with plastic at the ends to hold onto the screws. So not nearly as strong and stable as I was hoping. The horizontal platforms are made of plywood, like the description says. Assembly was very easy. Just need a step stool or ladder for assembly once it reaches higher than your arms. The reviews that say it's crooked may have the bottom and top out of alignment. It took a few steps back to check the angle from all sides to see if it really was in the right spot. Cat hasn't really used it yet, just jumped onto the first level to retrieve a treat. The smell is overwhelming so it's out on the balcony right now. If it airs out enough, we might bring it into the living room where the cat needs a tall place to rest and survey the land. If the smell stays, I'll dissasemble and send it back.

Cats love it!
My cats absolutely love this tree and use it all the time. Only downside is I now need a taller ceiling because they want to climb higher!

Cat tree
Same design as older style cat tree. However no carpet wrapping. Some generic form of carpet almost like thick felt. Put tree up for cats on Christmas. So 10 days ago. I'll give this tree 2 more weeks and the felt will be comming off. Cheep junk save your money . Fine one made with real carpeting.

For the price... it's great!
For the price it's a good deal. Simple pieces, minimalist style, very easy to put together. The carpet fabric isn't the "highest quality" (again, price point is low, so what do you expect). Sturdiness... well, depends on how and where you mount the item. I placed mine against a window ledge; therefore, it's very secure. I'm pleased... use your imagination... you can always upcycle the parts later and recarpet the pieces with something more plush!

Seems sturdy enough.
My cats have gone through so many of these over the years. They are rough and tumble and they run down the hall and jump onto their cat tree at such velocity (and they are well fed, let's say) that they can break down something like this in no time. We'll see how long this one lasts. It is sturdy enough.

Very satisfied
It works fine for my average sized boy even when he sprints and jumps onto it. The platforms aren't very big which is my only complaint. I was hoping he could nap on it, but he'd probably fall off.

Superfun climbing
I love this thing . I would buy it again, and will when it breaks. Please be advised that it is not very sturdy or stable . My husband attached it to a shelf by the ceiling, and we have sandbags weighing down the bottom part. You have to be creative, cats are hard on things. But they can climb up and down and chase each other up to the ceiling, which is exactly what they want to do.If they are happy,I am happy, just please secure it in some way so that they don't get hurt. You get what you pay for so if you want something fancy then buy that, but it's a good climber.

small but fun
This arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble.? I put all the shelves going in one direction next to kitty's larger sized shelving.? She can climb up and sit in the window and look outside, but she can definitely not stretch out and take a nap on these shelves (which I was slightly disappointed about)..? She's 14 lbs, and can just about sit comfortably on the shelving.? For naps, she needs to return to the larger shelving.? (But she's apparently OK with that..!)? A smaller cat would enjoy this even more.? I did secure the very top to the window frame with a small cup hook because it did move a bit, but it's pretty stable.? I don't know yet how it will hold up as a scratching post or "activity center."

Our Cat loves it
It's great in-front of a window allowing your indoor cat to see what's going on. It's a little small for them to sleep on, but it gives them the height they need and love.

Great value
It takes Scarlet about a week to explore something new, then she will refine her technique and perfect her skill level. She now does amazing flips and spins jumps and leaps from the top platform. She will pole climb to the top of the pole. She will wrap her body around the pole as she is lying on the top platform and spin herself around the pole almost falling off the platform but at the last minute makes a dramatic recovery and then checks to see if I am watching. The pole is at its max about 10 feet so it does wobble a little but it doesn't seem to bother her. Well worth the money spent. Great for bird watching as well.
