Dream into Nightmare
Bought this in early March 2026. We loved it at first. Expirmented with lots of espresso beans and flavors, it was great. As of April 24th it has completely stopped working. Beans kept getting stuck. Grinds kept getting worse. Eventually it just stopped. Even as we cleaned it properly, adjusting it according to the manual… terrible. Nightmare. Incredibly frustrating.

Awesome machine
I have really enjoyed the Touch, makes a great cup of espresso as well as all the other drinks on the menu. Very easy to do use once you quickly get the hang of it. Kids make hot chocolate as well and find that even that is better than our old way of making HC.

Sour espresso
We bought this esspresso maker a year ago and have not been able to produce a coffee that is not sour. We use ground levels of as low as 1 and as high as 15, use different levels of water tempreature, use 10s of different types of fresh roasted coffee, and the result is still sour espresso. I am thinking of throwing this junk away and buy another brand that simply produces a simple espresso. We received a call from customer service, she asked us to set it at 11 grind level and 25 seconds of brewing, same story, this time it was so sour, we could not even smell it. We ignored customer service, started going back to lower settings, although slightly better but still unpleasantly sour coffee is what we get every time. Watched hours of Youtube on Breville and different settings and recommenations, bought open portofilter, scale to measure the production, WDT, none worked. We are now sure that either this unit is faulty or more likely Breville is not engineered well. So my recommendation is if you are in the market to buy one, why risk it, if you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and try other brands.

I bought this product 30 days ago and love it. It took some time to figure out how long to grind the coffee without wasting a lot of grounds. The preset amount was too much. I love the ease in picking which coffee I want and the way the machine directs you step by step. My only con is the amount of strength it takes to twist the grind into the machine in preparation for the brewing cycle. I can anticipate this becoming an issue as I age.

Extremely happy with this purchase. Writing Review after 2 years of using. This machine makes fantastic coffee and maintains its quality, PROVIDED you maintain it right. Periodic cleaning and descaling is a must. Steam wand pressure is sufficient to create perfect latte art (I got pretty decent at it in about 6 months). If you want a relatively inexpensive espresso machine that does everything reasonably well, this is it! Final thought, you can't make great coffee without great beans. Don't expect amazing coffee with supermarket beans. Buy fresh, high-quality beans, it's 100% worth it.

Good Coffee
Got a new Barista touch 3 weeks ago. Overall liked the brewing aspect of it and various easy options to select via touch screen. But not very satisfied with brewed coffee isn’t hot enough. I have to microwave for a minute or so. Breville is sending me a new one. Crossing fingers that it would work fine.

Precise and quiet!
This is my third Breville espresso machine which I purchased immediately when the boiler went out on my trusty Breville Barista Express after 8 years. I am so happy that I upgraded to the Barista Touch. First the grind and pour amounts are so precise and consistent, creating your perfect drink every time. Second, the Barista Touch is significantly quieter than the Barista Express, so you don't annoy everyone in the house while you make your morning pick-me up.

Completely obsessed with this machine!!!
I decided to buy the Breville Barista Touch because a friend of mine had one and she highly recommended it. Our 20 year old Gaggia finally died. We love it so much!!! It's super easy to use and clean. We love how we can customize our drinks, grind time, etc. Coffee time is fun and we all love this machine so much!!!

Faulty from the start
The grinder broke in a month and had to get a stand alone grinder. Now, the machine won't pull shots and it is leaking a lot of water every time it tries to pull a shot. Had it for less than 1.5 yrs

Breville Broke my Machine - Severe Quality Decline
I bought the Breville Barista Touch a little over a year ago and absolutely loved it at first. It made amazing coffee and I took excellent care of it with regular maintenance and cleaning. Unfortunately, just after a year of use, the machine started dispensing far too much water — an internal issue completely out of user control. Since it was still under warranty, I sent it in for repair expecting the issue to be resolved, especially given Breville’s reputation and premium price point. However, when I received my machine back, it was not only still broken but also damaged. The repair process failed to fix the issue, and the machine came back in worse condition than when I sent it. For a product in this price range, I expected far better quality and service. Breville’s warranty may sound reassuring, but my experience has shown otherwise. What’s even more concerning is that most of the 5-star reviews for this model are from several years ago, clearly not reflecting the current product quality or service experience. I’m truly disappointed that a brand known for excellence delivered such poor follow-through and customer care. I can no longer recommend the Barista Touch or Breville based on this experience.
