Duncan Hines Dolly Parton Blueberry Muffin Mix - 17.83oz

I bought this muffin mix thinking if it is Dolly approved, it had to be good. What a big disappointment I was going to take them tomorrow for a Mother's Day treat, but not now. There is a pool of oil under each muffin. A stick of butter and oil is way too much. They are not edible. Back to the drawing board guys.

These were so good! I don’t know why the ratings are so low. I made these for Easter and they were a hit!

I tried Dolly’s blueberry muffins for the first time and they fell apart. The recipe doesn’t need both butter and oil.

I bought this and opened it up today to fix and there were no blueberries in the can! They were dried blueberries in the mix. Hard little ones! I will never buy this again!!!

I brought this item 2 days ago it's not the same as the original wild blueberry muffin mix. Have you ever heard of the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. Or what I think is broken is already fixed. You should have not changed the recipe

These sounded really good, but.. they were awful. Prepared them exactly like the directions on the box, they fell apart when trying to get them out of the muffin pan, the topping had no taste, the blueberries were dry and hard as rocks! Won’t be buying them again!

These are bomb. Idk what the reviews are talking about. I love the dried blueberries. I really dislike when muffins lack blueberry flavor because there’s 10 fresh berries in the batter. These are fantastic

Dehydrated blueberries are chewy and gross. With all the oil and butter the bottoms of the muffins become greasy like your eating a twinkle or something. A big disappointment.

I loved these! I coworker brought them in and I was so impressed. You can imagine my delight when she told me they came from a mix! I can't wait to have more. I am assuming the negative comments are from folks who bake professionally, but as someone who loves sweets and doesn't bake I thought they were spectacular.

I love these blueberry muffins, but use fresh blueberries because the dehydrated blueberries are AWFUL. I just throw them out. As noted above, they don’t hold together very well once they are taken out of the cupcake papers. That doesn’t bother me as i just eat them with a fork.

Are you out of your minds? worst boxed recipe I have ever made! Loaded with butter oil and eggs, plus fake blueberries! Dolly would never eat these!

Worst muffins I have ever tasted! And what is with the funky smell? A baked product should smell delicious but these muffins had a very strong chemical smell when I sniffed the inside. And who had the stupid idea of using dried blueberries instead of canned blueberries? They were just inedible. I realize now that dried blueberries have to be soaked in water overnight to rehydrate them. They should never be used in a commercial muffin mix. I will never buy this muffin mix again. Why Dolly Parton would allow her name to be used to endorse this muffin mix is beyond comprehension. I wasted hard earned money buying this muffin mix plus the cost of eggs and butter on muffins that I ended up throwing in the garbage. I am not alone in my opinion based on the many negative reviews on this website. When I saw the Dolly Parton Blueberry Muffin Mix on the store shelf I had hoped Duncan Hines had brought back their original Blueberry Muffin Mix rebranded under the Dolly Parton name. The original Duncan Hines Blueberry Muffin Mix used to be the VERY BEST muffin mix on the market. Then the company decided they had to jump on the health food fad and make them with whole wheat flour, which totally ruined them. When Duncan Hines rebranded the new whole wheat flour muffins to the Simple Morning label I thought they would bring back the original recipe, but it never happened. Why not just market the Dolly Parton Blueberry Muffins and use your original, superior recipe?

I was not sure if these were going to be good or not based on others’ reviews. I went for it and they are delicious even that streusel topping makes you want more. Great texture and relatively good flavor. The one thing that it needs is REAL BLUEBERRIES!! I’m not a fan of these dehydrated possibly fake ones in this mix. That said, they are good anyway but that would make them better.

Do not waste your money. These were the worst boxed Muffins I ever made. What a waste of money and all the ingredients you had to add to them. I crumbled them up and put them out for the birds. They were so dry and horrible tasting. I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on these.

I tried Dolly’s blueberry muffin mix. I was disappointed to find the blueberries were dried and part of the mix vs. a separate can. The flavor was bland and the topping had a cardboard texture. I will stick with the simple Morning’s blueberry muffin mix. Much better flavor.

We bought all varieties and all were terrible. Too many ingredients needed and the muffins spread rather than raise. They are crumbly and messy. I would be so embarrassed if I had made these for company without trying them beforehand. Bring back easy, fewer ingredients mixes back.
