Immi Black Garlic 'Chicken' Plant Based Ramen Pouch - 2.4oz

I bought these because I wanted something quick to keep myself from getting hangry. I have to stay away from refined carbs. The broth smelled pretty bad. It smells fine in the packet, but when the water and noodles combine with the seasoning, it is most unpleasant. I couldn’t even finish it. This is marketed as healthier than the typical ramens you get at the store, but that smell almost cost me my life. The taste is only slightly better than the smell, but my entire olfactory area took umbrage. I will either not eat ramen or stick to the unhealthy stuff and take my chances.

Wanted to like this because it’s plant based and seems like a much healthier option, but it tastes so bad. Very disappointing.

Holy Cow I should've read through the reviews! For the price I was totally thinking of a fancier ramen, but nope. The smell is so strange, almost like a weird chemical smell. Paired with the rubbery textured noodles, ewww!

This is the most bizarre ramen I have tried to date (I have grown up of ramen). I would not recommend it; it is not worth the price. The smell is hard to describe - it almost smells like burnt chemicals. The broth is alright taste wise.....but the smell is still so odd. The texture of the noodles are like rubber bands, and this was such a confusing culinary experience.... Especially because of the price which I thought I would give myself a treat.... but really, I should have read the reviews first. Beware of this ramen!

The noodles taste like rubber bands, and the seasoning is protein powder. It's legit awful. Gag worthy. The reviews are right.

Was compelled to write a review after trying this and seeing all the bad reviews. Happy I didn't let those dissuade me. As someone who's eaten instant ramen all my life in an Asian immigrant household, this was created as a healthier alternative to the instant ramen we all know. There's so many negative reviews because people grabbed it accidentally or didn't know what it was. It's a SUBSTITUTE for instant ramen so it's not going to be perfect. That said being said, I could also tell the reviews were left by people who literally just eat what's in the packet and know nothing else and don't understand how to make your ramen better lol. This ramen is great and the broth is awesome. The noodles are different but get the job done. I tasted it by itself first to judge and it was fine. Then I just added eggs and chicken breast and my favorite Asian spices and you cannot tell the difference! If a healthy ramen alternative is what you're looking for and you know how to cook, this is absolutely it.👌

These are so good!! I do not understand all of the negative reviews. I like them better than traditional ramen. The bonus of the high protein and high fiber makes it a chefs kiss easy meal!

Like others have said, it smells terrible. The noodles aren't bad, I like the chewy texture. The broth isn't bad, it tastes better then than it smells.

I was so excited this ramen was being sold at target. I’ve seen it on social media. SMELLED AND TASTED AWFUL. Rancid smell, I gagged. The ramen itself wasn’t good either

Truly awful. I love ramen and have had many different brands/types and this is by far the absolute worst I’ve ever had. I know it’s plant based and I’m fine with most products made with gluten free/vegan ingredients but this was disgusting. The smell was plastic-y and rancid. The taste was worse. I do not recommend this for anyone, no matter how desperate you are for plant based ramen.

it's actually really yummy! sure the noodles don't taste like regular instant ramen noodles but that's the whole point! very pleasantly surprised by it 😋

This was by far the worse ramen. We tried three flavors and could not eat any of them. What a waste!

The noodles and the flavor are just disgusting. The positive reviews seem to have added a bunch of other spices and elements to make it taste better. If you have to enhance this ramen for the price it's sold at... definitely not worth it!

This item is terrible. It smelled so bad that it made me nauseous. I attempted to overlook the bad smell and take a bite anyways, but I had to spit it out. It went right into the garbage! Clearly not everything you see advertised online is good.

For this Ramen for the high protein and fiber content. I only use a pinch od seasoning due to high sodium but add beaten egg, crushed chili flakes, green onion and shredded chicken or some shrimp for more protein. Filling and so good! And great online ordering too. Thx!

Noodles are dry and still hard even after the longer 4 minute cook time. Smell is off putting and the flavor is exactly how it smells.

I love the idea of a good ramen with low carbs. Plus fiber and protein? YES! I disliked the spices a lot. But use the noodles with a bit of garlic, chicken bullion and ginger. I also used the packet of a cheap ramen in another occasion. The noddles take longer to cook than cheaper noodles but is a good alternative if you have a healthier lifestyle.
