Holmes 16" Digital Oscillating 3-Speed Metal Stand Fan with Remote Control Chrome

This was a great fan for about 8 months. Started to struggle to turn on and officially died just around 13 months of ownership. Don't recommend. Also has a short cord and the included remote has a short range.

Worked great for a month and then it just completely stopped working.

Great product great for circulating strong air. It is tad quiet. Overall 10 just wish they would’ve sent my remote with mine.

Love this fan. High quality product. I recommend this fan.

If I can rate 0 I would. The fan sounds like it can go out any minute plus it’s not as powerful as I was hoping. The highest setting feels like it’s on the lowest. This is a definitely skip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, Holmes 16'' Chrome Digital Stand Fan is not a bad product, but it's not very impressive either. Here's a short list of Pros and Cons: Pros: + Very powerful air throughput + Relatively quiet Cons: - Oscillation can only be controlled from the fan itself by a plug on top (not a button on the fan) - Poor remote range - Very short cord As you can read the list above, I liked the power of the fan. It does put a great mount of air out and will immediately make a difference when on the high speed setting. It's not too noisy either which is a plus. A big issue I had was that the oscillation cannot be controlled via its remote. There's not even a button on the fan itself, but you have to pull the plug on top of the fan up and down to control oscillation. The range of the remote is disappointing. The remote has to be completely facing the front of the base or it will not work at all even with the slightest angle. Lastly, the cord is really short, which isn't a deal breaker for me, but some might care. Overall, I can't recommend this product and would look for other options if I were to buy a fan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Chrome fan works very well and is a simple, straightforward design. This provides a good level of air with 3 levels available. I really like that there is a timer feature, but wish I could set it for other options than just 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours. They are a good range, but would like some others in between. This oscillates nicely and is like you would expect. I wish I could adjust the range, but overall it covers well. The included remote is a nice addition. This was also easy to put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Holmes 16" chrome fan has really been put to work in the month that we've had it. As soon as it arrived, my husband put it together. Assembly was simple and took less than 10 minutes. At first I was only impressed with how nice it looked but when we began a home improvement project a few days later, I was equally impressed with how cool the fan kept the room. There is also an accompanying remote which is really convenient, especially if you're laying in bed and don't want to get up. We like to watch TV before bed and it's so nice to be able to stay in bed and use the remote to turn the fan on when it's time to sleep. There are two modes: one for sleeping and one called "breeze." Breeze mode is what we used during our home renovations and we love sleep mode at night! It's a gentle white noise that isn't too loud or distracting. The fan is really sturdy and doesn't rattle. The sound of the fan is soothing no matter what mode you choose. I'm getting one of these beauties for my mom, who lives in the desert and needs help with keeping her house cool and air circulation. This fan is well worth the price!

Let me preface by saying the chrome was not my first choice, but after receiving it and getting everything put together, I've gotta say it is growing on me. It reminds you of the old school diners that had the juke boxes on the table. But anyway, this fan has so many great features, my favorite of which being a sleep setting. There are several lengths you can set it for. It's reasonably quiet and the air will travel all through out the room!! Did I mention it's remote control operated as well!! The chrome finish is nice in that it is very easy to keep clean. Do your self a favor and buy this

To start with how efficient this fan is, especially as the fan itself is made out of metal which increases its overall speed. For example, there are three-speed modes. Low, Med, and Hi. I would say the speed mood Low is more than enough for a breeze. The Med Speed feels like high speed and a lot of breezes, even though it’s med. Then there’s Hi, which is super powerful! What I mean is that you could be 20 to 30 feet away from the fan and still feel a strong breeze from a distance. I like how there are features such as “Breeze and Sleep” to control the type of modes when you’re needing a little breeze or whether you just need a light breeze while you’re sleeping. The timer is a plus in the overall feature, as it time for 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours. The overall setup was very easy and straight to point with its directions. The design looks very modern and can easily fit into any type of theme. Not sure what else to ask for in a fan, as it's packed with awesome features enough to satisfy your needs to cool off.

I love having a remote, so I can adjust it from the couch or when I'm in bed. One pleasant surprise was the "breeze" function, which turns the fan motor on and off, resulting in a very pleasant breeze feeling. This is a feature I've never seen on other models. It also of course is multi-speed, rotates, has adjustable height, and a sleep timer. Overall, a great fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan took me about 20 minutes to assemble. The whole time I was amazed at the quality of this fan. Everything went together with no issues. The remote is a nice touch but it has to be pointed directly at the fan to work. It’s got more settings than most air conditioners. And the best part is it really moves air! The one con I’ve noticed so far is when I put it on its highest setting, It last about 5 minutes then drops to medium speed. I’ve checked and there’s no timers or anything set. Overall this thing rocks.

Setup was an easy process even for one person, and only required a screwdriver for a handful of screws, but even those were in minimal places. While not a huge fan, it puts out a good amount of air even on the low, and the remote is definitely a plus for changing settings as needed. Between the solid, wide base and the included weight, there's no stability issues whatsoever even on high. Feature wise, I like the timer option and can see it coming in handy in multiple ways in the future, but while interesting, I haven't personally used breeze and sleep other than trying them out. I'd definitely recommend it and get it again.

Right from the box it took about 15 minutes to put together. I highly recommend that this product not to be used around young children as the blades are extremely sharp and little finger can get in the guards. This fan blows out very good air even in low setting and the best part it comes with a remote. It definitely is a life saver in the summer heat.

One of the wing nuts slightly cracked when tightening down. The only problem you may run into is if you are not a handy person. This fan came in many pieces. The instructions were somewhat helpful.
