Returning due to saftey concerns
Unfortunately we have to go through the hassle of returning this. It was purchased thru a target plus parter who would not send a replacement part for a piece that was manufactured improperly. Target staff was helpful getting the return process started and I was happy with Target’s response as they contacted the seller and tried to resolve the issue. I will continue to shop with target, but I would not buy from “max and lily” again. The bed we received had significant wood splits to the pieces of the slide that connect to the bed. It appeared when they were fitted with the internal threading it split and wood glue was applied around the internal metal threads. This did not look or seem stable for a child to be playing on. Also, some areas were predrilled for screws, others seem to be missing. It was missing sinks for bolt heads in places or they were slightly small with jagged edges making it difficult to get on. Directions said to use round head screws when flat head screws were needed on the pieces that hold the steel rod, this would allow enough room to bolt in slats. The white plastic part of the side had a dent in it and the wood lip at the bottom where the wood attaches to the plastic comes up, so right as they would hit the bottom they are met with a half inch of wood sticking up. Ouch. I really liked the design and wanted to make this work, but in the end it was a huge waste of time. I thought if I spend a little extra I’d get better quality, but not with this bed. The issues with the manufacturing raised too many safety concerns for a child’s bed. Fortunately target has an awesome return policy.
