Love the color but not the product
It wouldn't vacuum. It would seal but not vacuum. I loved the color.

Cheapest parts
I’ve had a foodsaver before. It worked great. Now I get a new one and it doesn’t seal a bag no matter how many times you try. I guess foodsaver got so big we only use the cheapest parts

Bad Xmas gift
I got the handheld unit as a Xmas gift. It has already stopped working. Used it about 8 times. It shows being fully charged (solid green light) but when you take it out and press the button it doesn’t turn on. Press the button again, and the red light flashes. What a piece of garbage. Tried for two hours to get on line and submit warranty. Wouldn’t accept my date code. Really?

Make sure the open end of the bag is flat and smooth across the sealing strip with no folds or wrinkles. 2. Check the gasket and sealing area to be sure nothing is out of place or preventing the vacuum from holding. 3. Wipe away any moisture or crumbs from the sealing strip, gasket, and vacuum channel, as even small debris can break the seal. 4. Try a fresh bag or roll piece, since a tiny hole or crease in the material can cause the vacuum to release. 5. Confirm the lid is fully locked before starting the cycle. Disappointing
Thus was purchased as a christmas gift, unfortunately the first time my friend used it the vacuume+seal button does not work properly, the machine vacums the bags but she has to push the individual seal button shortly after the vacuum+seal light turns off inorder to seal the bag, I'm very disappointed because i chose the 2-in 1 specifically because of the larger vacuum sealing option combined with the hand held. Buyers beware!!

Item is great... do not trust their delivery driver
This is not a review of the item. It is a review of the delivery. I use a mailbox service so my deliveries don't get dumped on my doorstep and are safe. This delivery driver arrived after the place was closed, but instead of just coming back the next business day like other delivery services, they left it outside the entrance UNSECURED, took a PICTURE, and sent me the picture. !! If I hadn't checked my messages when I did and drove to the place in a panic to see if it was still there it could have been stolen and I would have a problem. I may still shop at Target but I will NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN.

For Christmas I ask for vacuum sealing machine. my daughter gave it to me. I was excited to try it. I sealed no more than 4 bags and did 1 bag using the handheld. yesterday I wanted to use it again but one, the vacuum sealer kept giving an error, the flashing light, not the pulsing one, so I checked everything the trouble section said to do. waited for a while and tried again and didn't work. two, so I decided to transfer the food over to another bag but for the handheld and also didn't work... my handheld had been charged, but when I took it out it showed the handheld wasn't charged. it showed the red drained light, i made sure it was sitting right in the charger and clean. !!disappointing!! this machine only worked a few times and stopped working.

Great Replacment
This is a replacement for my old vac sealer machine. I wore it out. This machine is slender enough to keep on my counter. The hand held unit with the new style bags are fantastic. There isn't anything I can't seal with this machine. I like that it is manual so I can control what is happening during vacuuming and sealing. Much easier and much less fuss. I will be gifting this item in the future.

Great new developments in FoodSaver technology :)
We had an older FoodSaver that (after a decade-plus of regular use) was starting to work less well, so we finally decided to replace it. As soon as this new one arrived, I wondered why we waited so long. It works with our old FoodSaver containers--the kind you used to have to seal with a plastic tube--which I was worried about, and even better it is SO. MUCH. QUIETER. Anyone who owned an old-model FoodSaver knows what I'm talking about: that thing was LOUD, so much so that I'd feel bad using it if we had guests over. The new handheld vacuum sealer is almost silent, and I think it works more quickly too. The whole setup has been working great, and I really love that it comes with the reusable ziptop bags in addition to single-use bags. (Incidentally, the little U-shaped plastic doohicky is for sealing the ziptop bags--that's not explained anywhere in the instructions but I found it online somewhere.) The wine sealer works phenomenally too. It's worth replacing your old FoodSaver if you've been on the fence, or buying a new one if you don't own one already. Get one of the storage containers too, and you can make guacamole that stays fresh in the fridge for days after :)

Unhappiness is not an option! Throughout all my years as a FoodSaver consumer, I have NEVER had any problems until the purchase of their Handheld+ 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealing System! The regular vacuum sealer will not operate at all, although the sealer function works. I have repeatedly tried to reach out to FoodSaver regarding this problem, however I cannot reach anyone! So sadly, I have no more than 2 stars to give.

I have had this over a year and love it! Works hard and vacuums quickly. I do miss the built in bag cutter but love the space it saves not having it included in the machine. It slides easily into a cupboard to keep my counter top clear but easily accessible.

When I bought this I really liked it though I wished there was a place to hold and cut the rolls. But after 3 months the unit stopped working. It lights up but doesn't make any noise or does it vacuum. I have tried several times to contact Food saver though the website but have had no success as of yet. My review would have been a 4 other wise.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help: - Check the gasket of the machine. If it is damaged or dirty, the unit may not vacuum or seal properly. Clean any food materials from the gasket. For a removable gasket, try removing, flipping it over, reinserting it, and testing the unit again. - Ensure the open end of the bag is placed entirely inside the vacuum channel. The bag’s edge should not extend beyond this channel. Also, avoid creating your own side seams, FoodSaver bags are manufactured with sealed side seams designed for proper vacuuming. - Test the bag for leaks by sealing it with a small amount of air inside, submerging it in water, and applying pressure. If you see bubbles, the bag has a leak and should be replaced. - If vacuum sealing moist foods, we recommend pre-freezing them for 1–2 hours. Excess liquid can interfere with the vacuum process and may cause permanent damage to the unit. Your sealer has a warranty period of 5 years. Bought this 3 months ago and disappointed The rechargeable battery for zip bags will only seal 2 quart bags before it looses the charge. And yes the unit was plugged in and hand unit showed green light. So glad it kept my 8 yr. old machine.
