These wipes do not sting when you use them to wipe off my makeup. They do a very effective job of cleaning and removing all the junk I have slathered across my face to make myself seem presentable to the world. I’ve been using the Neutrogena Fragrance-Free Compostable Makeup Remover Wipes for a few years. They’re gentle on my sensitive skin, remove makeup (including mascara) effectively, and I appreciate that they’re fragrance-free—no irritation or overpowering scent. The big plus is that they’re compostable, which makes me feel better about using single-use wipes. They’re also soft and sturdy and don’t leave behind a greasy residue like some others. I’m giving them four stars only because they can occasionally feel a bit dry when I reach the end of the pack, especially if not sealed perfectly. Otherwise, they do precisely what they promise and are a great eco-conscious alternative to traditional wipes.
