I like this custard gel for hydrating and coating my coarse, dry hair. Unlike others, it has a subtle scent that doesn't reach up and knock me out. It has a relatively low hold, so hair looks natural and soft. However, for my wavy hair, I'm looking for definition AND hold so I have to add a second gel or a spray after this (though I still like it). If hold isn't a priority but hydration IS, then this might be your new favorite.

Love this product but I hate the packaging! The product is great and makes my curls feel moisturized, soft and bouncy. I just hate the packaging because you have to scoop it out and I feel like I always end up making a mess or wasting product.

i don’t tend to like curl custards cause there very heavy on my hair .i have 3A hair low porosity this worked ehh i wouldn’t buy again cause it has no hold at all but maybe pair it with a mousse and/or gel maybe it would work wonders but idk i might have to see good hair products combos to see . one thing i enjoyed it made my hair very smooth and does tend to have slip kinda feels like a leave in and it’s very light weight

The curl custard has changed my curl care routine. I’ve been using and loving Rizos Curls since it was just the shampoo, conditioner and curl defining cream. My curls love this custard so much that I don’t even use the cream anymore. Just this and the strong hold gel. Curls are lightweight, bouncy and defined. It also has cut my styling time in half because of how high slip it is. Love, love, love.

Positive: It smells so good (I get a lot of compliments about how good I smell when I put this in my hair). Doesn’t leave hair feeling crunchy. Negative: It will flake after a few hours or after touching your hair. Which is enough for me to not ever repurchase. I haven’t had a problem with a product that flakes in ages.
