V-Tech 5.5" HD Smart Fixed Position Video Baby Monitor

Died after 5 months of use. Battery will not charge. What a waste.

Purchased 2 of this monitor, one for each child’s room. Both will occasionally freeze up, and once it freezes it stays frozen until the camera is unplugged and plugged back up. Once it freezes no sound comes through. This was something we were able to live with until my son’s camera froze in the middle of the night so we didn’t hear him when he woke up until he was screaming so hard we could hear him across the house. Have had these cameras only 7 months. Both cameras do this

While the camera & app work well, the parent unit broke (wont hold a charge) within 3 months of use. This was so expensive & it malfunctioned so quickly.

It worked well until it didn’t. The camera died on us 4 months into using it. Parent unit still works, but no camera makes it pointless. I thought it was a great system, but the fact that it broke within only a few months makes me question the durability of Vtech products. Will be switching to another brand.

i love it ! just recently started using it for my 6 month old , question does anyone know if i have to keep the camera plugged in or how long every time i disconnect it to hang it up it disconnects, does it have to stay connected or does it have to charge a while before disconnecting from charger

Bought this monitor to replace our owlet cam that kept disconnecting from WiFi. We LOVE this monitor bc you can use it with or without WiFi. Definitely would recommend!

Camera pic is clear but audio is terrible. I bought this so my sick parent who is staying with us can call for help in the night and we can’t hear him at all unless to camera is right next to his head. I wouldn’t recommend if you need to communicate.

We had the same brand monitor but just older! We got this new one and so pleased with VTech

Best baby monitor we have owned. Always works perfectly and is everything we could ask for. Is extremely reliable and we haven’t had a single time we have lost connection to the camera.

Unfortunately neither my husband nor I could get the app to work. That's not a deal breaker for me personally, but if you planned on using that feature you might be disappointed. The color night vision is very clear. I also love the fact that the monitor screen is overall pretty decently sized. All the controls on the screen are very easy to control. I love the fact that you can download the app and get continuous live video recording alerts and also advice from the app through your smartphone on Google Play or app store. Overall, I would highly recommend this baby monitor. It is a great buy.

The camera has a very wide angle and delivers a clear picture. It has a nightlight option that is wonderful. The hand held monitor is lightweight and has good range. Also if you don’t want to carry the screen around you can download the app and watch it from your phone. My husband watches our baby while he’s at work whenever he misses her. It took roughly 15 minutes to get everything up and running. The video quality is decent enough to see details such as my child breathing and facial expressions. Night vision works well and I am always able to see a crisp video with no blurriness. The main perk is not having to use my phone and instead having a screen to use throughout the house. The camera lens moves and is easy to adjust using the monitor. I found all the cords are easily able to be tucked away to allow the camera to sit properly. Overall, it’s a solid monitor for use at home or traveling.
