Q: Can I snap toys from a different skip hop activity center on this new model? And does the piano from the older versions fit in the empty space on this model?

submitted by Madonna K - 1 month ago
  • A: The toys on the Discoverosity activity center are not interchangeable with other Skip Hop models. Additionally, the piano from older versions is not compatible with this model.

Q: What is the difference between this model and the other skip hop activity center, the explore & more?

submitted by Yv - 1 year ago
  • A: The main differences are the shape of the table and the toys that are included. Also, the Discoverosity Montessori-Inspired 3-Stage Activity Center and Play Table does not have a piano, so it does not play music like the Explore & More Baby's View 3- Stage Activity Center.

The activity center offers a visually appealing design with engaging toys that promote developmental skills for infants. Many guests appreciate its versatility, as it grows with the child from a seated activity center to a toddler table. However, concerns about stability and leg attachment issues have been raised, indicating a need for design improvements. Overall, it provides a fun and educational experience for babies, making it a worthwhile investment for parents.

    Not worth the $$

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is disappointing and not worth the money at all. My baby is 6 months old and has only just started using this. This activity center feels very cheap and while easy to put together, it’s also VERY easy for my baby to pull the toys off. She had yanked off each toy (one toy even hit her in the face when she pulled it off). A 6 month old shouldn’t be able to do that. It’s not safe. Probably going to have to put it away until she’s older and can use it for its other functionalities.

    Faulty Legs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted to love this as much as the little one... Once put together, all was well at first. We had thought the legs were a tad wobbly, but thought nothing of it since it appeared stable and secure enough at first. Within the first 2 months, one of the legs fell apart as they are only attached with an inaccessible screw. Contacted customer service, and they sent a replacement. Lo and behold, a month later, not only did the same thing happen to the replacement, but it also happened to another leg! Instead of going through the whole process again, we decided to just epoxy the plastic foot portions to the rest of the wood leg, which isn't great, but we don't have to worry about them falling off anymore. Will not recommend until this crucial design flaw is fixed!

    Nice but legs broke

We love this but so far two of the legs have broken. I see that others are having this issue too which means the manufacturer needs to figure out a fix. This is too expensive to break so easily!

I assembled it super fast after opening, probably 12 mins. The instructions were easy to follow. Baby looks like she enjoys it, especially the mirror toy. Pricey but very good quality and versatile use- makes it worth the price. We look forward to being able use it as she gets older.

    Safety Concern

Very pretty but legs are defective, the screw fell out and the legs came off. The leg is sealed on the bottom so I cannot put it back on. I am out of the return window and still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. It is definitely a safety concern!

Our baby turned 5 months and have only been using this for about a month or so. The screws in the legs has become loose and has become wobbly with no way to open the legs and tighten the screw. Now we have rattling pieces and wobbly legs and we are outside the return window since we purchased it off our registry early. Very pricey for a flawed activity center.

The legs constantly fall off and the shader comes out. For how expensive this is, it's TERRIBLE. I'm so angry I chose this one.

    Unstable and dangerous

The activity center worked for a while in the seated mode but as a table it is very unstable. The table almost toppled over our 10 month old. This item should be recalled.

    UNSAFE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm surprised this hasn't been recalled. The straps detach on the foot stand and if that's not bad enough a leg on ours has completely come detached with the screw rattling around on the inside of the hollow plastic leg, with no way to secure it back to the wooden part of the leg. This was a gift and we started using it on Thanksgiving Day. So we haven't even had it a month yet. I'm not worried about my money but I am worried about other babies. Recall this immediately before you get a lawsuit.

Legs Fall off and Screw is inaccessible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the activity center however I will not recommend this one to anyone. Yes my baby loves it. However the internal screw on the leg had fallen out and you literally cannot get to it to reattach it. I see someone else has the same issue. Why would you make a screw - that over time can come lose...inaccessible. Now if I want to move the activity center the bottom white part of the legs will fall off. What a huge design flaw. I'm so frustrated as I've only been using this for 4 months and it's supposed to grow with my baby but looks like it won't be. Activity centers are great but not this one.

Great except the legs fall off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall my son has loved this activity center, and generally I’d buy it again. That said, there’s a huge design flaw that we’ve found extremely annoying. The plastic part of the legs comes detached from the wooden part through normal use (this has happened on 3 of 4 legs) - and the attachment point is a screw that has fallen out that is completely NOT ACCESSIBLE. It’s sealed inside the plastic molded leg so there’s literally no way to reattach it yourself. It’s legitimately crazy. So now every time we move the activity center, the legs fall off and have to be reassembled. Very frustrating.

    Looks great but unusable

Wanted to love this product. I do mostly. It looks great, much better than the other ones. I do find it a little flimsy, and the legs have more wobble than they should. But this I could have lived with. The real flaw is that like others have mentioned, the clips that support the base are constantly coming undone. Sometimes it's just one at a time, other times my 4-month old can knock two down at the same time and he'll be left hanging with no support. It makes a loud bang on the floor and startles him. I am constantly reattaching the clips. This is going to be returned, unfortunately. I'll settle for the uglier version that doesn't seem to have these structural issues.

    Great sensory development!

My 6mo loves this activity center! She is constantly in rotation between the 4 activity stations. Doesn’t wobble, feel completely safe with her in it! 100% recommend!

    Great!

My baby really likes this so far. I was hesitant to buy this based on some reviews, however, I’m glad I did. I do not find it to be wobbly and I am not having any issues with the legs falling off. I also saw another reviewing saying a toy came off and smacked their baby in the face. You have to be absolutely sure the toys are clipped into place and you won’t have this issue. Overall my baby seems to be enjoying it. It is very aesthetically pleasing and the seat can be easily removed and washed which I already had to do.

    Great buy

Love this!! We’ve only had it for about a week now but it’s great! The quality is amazing and it’s super easy to put together. The toys keep my baby entertained and it’s so fun to watch her learn how to use each one!

My 4 month old loves this and I love that it allows him sit or stand if he likes. It also keeps him entertained for a long time at least 30mins allowing for parents to get something to eat or fold clothes, etc.

    Concerned for safety

Disappointed and Concerned for Safety I bought this activity center for my 5-month-old daughter, hoping it would be a fun and safe place for her to explore. Unfortunately, we had a scary experience. One of the attached play items wasn’t as secure as expected—she managed to pull it and accidentally hit herself in the mouth. She cried for nearly 30 minutes, and it broke my heart to see her hurt from something that’s supposed to be safe. What really worries me is how easily it happened. For a product meant for babies this young, I expected much sturdier construction. Babies are curious and have unpredictable movements—this should be designed with that in mind. I can’t recommend this product until it’s improved for safety. Parents should feel confident their little ones can play without getting injured.

Well made, however the lid can't be open

The piece looks very sturdy and well made. I like all the 4 attachable toys. However the lid of the storage try cannot be open. I am not needing it for now, but hope there's a way to figure that out.

    Questionable safety

The legs constantly fall off when we pick up the activity centre to move it to another location. It’s also very wobbly when our child is in it. I feel nervous about my child’s safety. This falls far below my expectations.
