Impossible to line up vent
I have never in my life had such hatred for a product. The original glass version of this bottle is the best bottle ever, my child took to it first thing and they are the only bottles we have ever used. I purchased the plastic version to be able to use at daycare, thinking they were the exact same just plastic. The plastic version, unlike the glass, has a little notch in the ring. You have to line the valve of the nipple up with the notch in the ring for the bottle to work correctly and the nipple not to collapse. Sounds easy, right? Wrong! Lining up is no problem, the problem is once you go to screw the nipple/ring combo onto the bottle, the nipple moves away from the notch and is near impossible to get it to line back up. You have to unscrew and screw back on until you eventually get lucky and they line up while also making sure it’s screwed on correctly, otherwise there’s major leakage. Getting everything lined up is very time consuming, especially when making four bottles at a time to have for daycare the next day. Get rid of the notch in the ring and making it where the nipple moves when screwing on and I would say these are just as great as the glass version. As it stands now, avoid these plastic bottles at all costs.

Amazing nipple with a cheap plastic bottle
I loved the evenflo nipple but disliked the bottle. The nipple passed the triangle test. Its shape helps with the latch and lip placement. I absolutely love it. The nipple was a little too fast for my baby, but now that she is almost 2 months it works for her. I was bummed to see they don’t have a slower drip available for purchase.I am not a fan of the cheap plastic feeling of the bottle. This is a personal preference. I will try the glass version. They are easy to clean. I have not experienced leaks.

We loved these but lining up the vent is difficult since the nipple moves as you screw the lid on. We only stopped using because my baby prefers a different bottle and ended up spilling out of wider neck bottles frequently.

Lids dont screw on well or have tight seal
These bottles are okay. My biggest complaint with these bottles is that you really have to make sure the lid screws on properly and fully tight because you will think it is and once you go to feed your baby milk starts spilling out from the bottom of the lid and it wastes. Won't be buying these again as this happens very frequently.

Not fit for use
These bottles are extremely prone to cross-threading when you put the cap on, especially when it's 2:30 AM and you're exhausted. When that happens, the bottle leaks massively. Then you have to put baby in a dry outfit that isnt soaked in milk, and what should have been a happy well fed baby is now upset. Buy something better. The Nuuk bottles do not have this problem.

Evenflo is pretty much the only bottles our baby will take. We just recently purchased these and the bottle design is new. The measurements are now in white rather than clear marking which is a plus but I think the actual bottle is thinner. We have a bottle warmer and we now have to reduce the ounces by 1 so that it doesn’t overheat the milk

Nipples collapse and bottle leaks
When these bottles work like they are expected too, they are great. Unfortunately they rarely work as expected. If you do not have the collar tightened perfectly, these bottles are the worst. If they are tightened even slightly too much, the nipples collapse and baby cannot get milk. If they are slightly too loose, the entire bottle will leak out over the baby. These are too finicky and we only purchased because our lactation consultant recommended them. Returned them right away because the constant leaking and wasting valuable breast milk as well as upsetting the baby because he couldn’t get milk when the nipple was constantly collapsing was not worth it “potentially” helping his latch. I’m not sure it even could help his latch with how frequently they collapsed.

Hi Mari, one bottle nipple shape will not work best for every baby. It may be that your baby will do better on a different shape, such as the Evenflo Classic. Don't toss out your Balance + bottles, though. After a month or two of using a different shape, it could be that your baby is able to use the Balance +. Thanks!
