Unlike many other smartwatches that use stainless steel (which contains roughly 10% nickel), the vívoactive 6 features an anodized aluminum bezel. Aluminum is generally nickel-free and much safer for people with your allergy. The main body of the watch is made of a fiber-reinforced polymer (a high-grade plastic). This part sits against your skin and is completely non-metallic and inert. The small metal buckle on the silicone strap is typically made of stainless steel. While Garmin uses high-quality 316L stainless steel that meets international "low nickel release" standards, it still contains trace amounts of nickel.     Pleasantly pleased with the Garmin vivoactive 6

    I purchased my Garmin approx three weeks ago. My Fitbit Sense died after six years of faithful service so I made this purchase after researching which watch closely resembled my previous watch. It is taking time to learn what I can do with this watch but to date I am pretty pleased with the Garmin. This past week I paired/synced it to My Fitness Pal app. The fact that I already owned a Garmin Approach G80 golf range finder is an added plus for golf and my other activities. Looking forward to learn more about my vivoactive 6.

    Not happy.

    Bought to replace my old vivo active after it stopped working. The new one will suddenly go blank and after a few tries have to close it and restart. It also will stop recording an activity and then go into lock mode.

    Perfect for Fitness Tracking

    I have really enjoyed my new Garmin! The features are great and it is perfect for my long runs, sleep tracking, and knowing when I need to rest and recover. I switched over from apple watch and I am glad I did. While it doesn't integrate with my phone as well as the apple watch, I feel like it is much better for tracking my activities and health. There was a little bit of a learning curve with the functionality and settings but it wasn't anything a quick search could solve! I would highly recommend this device and it being HSA eligible is even more of a bonus.

    I bought this watch about month ago, and it’s the best thing I’ve did! I love it, tracking my steps, everything else the watch helps out on. It has long battery life, you charge it about every 12 days. I would highly recommend this garmin watch

    I bought this a month ago, and it mostly is fine. I am annoyed that the sleep feature will not track if I wake up and fall back asleep to factor that into my sleep score. I often wake up at the same time every day and am able to fall back asleep, but if I am up for more than 5 minutes, the watch will not track the rest of the sleep even if it's more than an hour. This is disappointing to me.

    No Screen Reversal

    I'm replacing my 10 yr old Vivoactive 3. It appears that there is no way to reverse the screen on the Vivoactive 6 so I can wear in on my left wrist. All the instructions say to go to the "Settings- Systems-Orientation", however there is no "Orentation" option on the Vivoactive 6. The only option I could find is to reverse the wrist bands.

    Disappointed.

    I bought this product last week and activated it a few days ago. So far it has not lived up to expectations. It doesn't count the steps properly. Sometimes it doesn't count them at all or plays catch up. Yesterday it was over 4,000 steps short versus my Fitbit. Today so far it is just under 800 steps short versus my Fitbit. My wife had a Garmin in the past and had issues with it and switched to a Fitbit. I thought I would give Garmin another try. A lot of money for something that can't accurately count steps. Done with Garmin.

    I am still trying to familiarize myself with all of the features. Have been using Garmin watches for many years and I'm always surprised at all the new features that are packed into it. I match it with a Garmin body scale, and a Garmin blood pressure cuff to keep track of all health related info. All my stats are downloaded in the Garmin Connect app, and I can track it on my laptop, phone, or watch. Great product(s)!

    Great watch, amazing features!

    Excellent watch! It stays charged for so long. I usually charge it when I shower so I can basically wear it all day. I am excited to use it to train for an upcoming marathon. Very easy to use, and I love seeing all of the stats it collects overnight and during the day .
