Neutrogena Evenly Clear Gentle Acne Foaming Face Cleanser with Salicylic Acid and PHAs - 9.1 fl oz: Oily, Combination, Acne-Prone Skin, Unscented

I’ve been using Adapalene for a little over a month and have started seeing smooth skin and less acne. I did have a couple blackheads, one or two whiteheads so I thought why not try this cleanser - NO. I have had increasingly oily skin, skin texture is bumpy all over now and my skin is red for hours after using this. I’ve also had a new breakout DAILY using this as well as larger pores. I did like that it was fragrance free. I also felt like it didn’t cleanse well, felt filmy while using.

After using the Evenly Clear my skin feels smoother than it has in a while. It’s gentle on the skin though I did have to add a moisturizer to keep my skin from drying out.

My dermatologist recommended that I incorporate a salycilic acid product into my routine. Enter the Neutrogena Evenly Clear cleanser. I have been loving it so far! I use it as my morning cleanser. It has is a pretty thick, sticky consistency, but it generates a light foam when I rub it into my face. After it lathers a bit, I let it sit on my skin for 2 minutes before washing it off. My skin feels cleansed, and a little tight (in a good way) after applying. I finish it off with a light moisturizer and apply my makeup as usual! Although I need to keep usingthis product to see the full effects, after only a week or so of use, I have noticed a difference in my pores. I'm looking forward to enjoying my skin after I continue using this!

I haven’t noticed any changes to the few post-acne scars I have, or any difference in the way it exfoliates my skin. I do agree with one of the promoted features that it is gentle on the skin.

Since it has salicylic acid, I only used it at night and 3-4 times a week as to not irritate my skin. Also I find it to be slightly drying afterwards but I find that normally happens after using actives.

This face wash didn't leave it dry or irritated. It left me feeling clean and fresh. The most important thing about it was getting rid of bigger pores in my T-zone and breakouts. I have combination skin and it targeted the problem areas well.

I did break out when I first started ti use it but after a week or so my skin definitely got used to it. The smell isn't strong. Id almost say there's no smell to it at all. Overall id recommend.

Over time it helps reduce and fade an appearance of acne scars. I really like how there is artificial colors added or harms chemicals.

My own personal experience is the product can break out your face instead of clearing your skin from acne leaving it smooth.

Once daily worked best for me as it is winter time and I want to ensure I keep my skin well hydrated. I can see using this product twice daily if you have oily skin or during the summer when you are sweating more.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cleanser didn't leave me Sahara dry. There is a faint, clean scent and a gentle texture that leaves my skin actually feeling clean. Sometimes, with certain washes, it can feel like it does the bare minimum at the very surface. But the Evenly Clear feels like it actually deeply cleanses and leaves me feeling spa clean!
