The Kristin Ess Hair Dry Finish Heat Protectant Spray is an ultra-fine dry mist that shields hair from damage when using a hot tool on dry hair. Designed for all hair types, this lightweight formula applies evenly and provides heat protection up to 450°F, while leaving hair softer after every use.

HOW TO USE

1. Spray a thin veil over dry hair.
2. Brush through, then style your hair using your favorite hot tool.

STYLIST TIP: To avoid damage, apply 10” away from hair (or a can’s length) and be sure to give it a few seconds to dry before using your favorite hot tool.

LI bought my first bottle from ulta and after one use the bottle felt pretty much empty and the nozzle stopped working. I thought I maybe just got a faulty bottle so I bought a second bottle at Target and basically the same thing happened. After 2 uses, the bottle was basically empty and the nozzle stopped working.

Great results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the price of Kristen Ess Hair products, they really do an amazing job. My daughter and I use d this heat protective spray to curl our hair and it does a fantastic job. The instructions are clear to spray on, brush through, and wait for the product to dry. It sprays evenly and feels very light on, which is perfect for fine hair. The curls held well with very little hair spray after we were done. The next morning my hair does not feel heavy with residue, it's still soft. The only thing I was surprised about was the scent of the product, it's not great. Compared to the shampoo/conditioner and Blow Dry Spray, I would have thought it would have been a nice scent, but thankfully the smell doesn't last. Overall, highly recommend this Dry Finish Heat Protective spray.

Smell is way too strong and leaves a white residue

I’m not even sure how well this works. It might work wonders but the smell is so strong! It was all I could smell on my hair all night, and hours later, after I had washed my hair twice, you could still smell it in the air. It also left a nasty white film on my brush I had to use dawn dish soap to get off. And I used it sparingly on my shoulder length hair. The smell is not bad but it is overpowering. Not a fan. And apparently, I can’t return it… not happy

A lot of products tend to make my hair feel way down and greasy, but this one is super lightweight. Which in turn doesn’t weight my hair down either! It doesn’t leave a residue feeling that many products can leave as well. The scent of the product is the typical Kristin Ess scent that is light and fresh, not very overpowering. This is a good spray to try if you are in the market.

I love this for my fine hair I did not place any hair spray afterwards because of my thin hair and my waves lasted all day much longer than any heat protector I tried. When you spray it is dry I’m not sure why it says it’s a wet spray because it nots. It also has the same scent as the dry shampoo. It’ll the spray cap is the same as the dry shampoo I love it gives more coverage . My hair feels healthy and smooth I recommend this for fine hair :)

A fast‑drying heat protectant that left my hair sm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So for this one I pulled out an old black human hair wig that had been sitting for a while, and this spray ended up being the glow up it didn’t even no it needed 😌🥰 the way it protected the hair while I styled was so impressive - no sizzling, no dryness sneaking in, just smooth, steady performance that made the whole process feel easy. It dried fast too, which I loved because I wasn’t trying to stand there waiting forever. Once I started flat ironing, the effectiveness really showed. My wig went from looking like a black cotton tip two straight luxurious and shiny, like it had been revived on the spot. Left My Hair feeling Healthy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first reaction was loving the light scent! Application was a little bit of a work in progress. I like the convenience of the aerosol spray but it’s hard to tell if there’s even distribution of product bc it’s not as wet as other protectant sprays. However, once I applied heat I could tell that my hair was well coated and it felt super healthy and not weighed down with any product! Definitely gonna take some getting used to for this type of dry heat protectant but overall a great product!

Protect that leave hair feeling clean and healthy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to spray all over my have and between the layers, too. What’s so interesting is that it feels dry, the product doesn’t feel wet at all. I even tried spraying into the palm of my hand and it was like nothing came out. This left me intrigued and looking forward to use it more. I don’t typically use a lot of product on my hair but the heat protectant I’ve used on the past made my hair feel dirty- I did not like that! I suppose it did its job because my hair looks healthy and feels clean after using the product and styling using my flat iron. This might become a product I keep in my rotation . Thanks Kristin Ess!

Not heavy on my fine hair!

I have a lot of problems finding hair products that work for me because although I have a lot of hair, it is very fine so most products are too heavy for my hair especially anywhere near the scalp. This was literally an air-like product that was not heavy at all on my hair, didn’t leave any residue, and I was curling my hair I could feel the difference in texture of my hair coming out VS. not using a heat protectant.

Easy to use heat protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. Easy to use, this lightweight spray goes on dry hair before heat styling. It definitely helps hold a curl, but I’ve also been using it with straightened hair. The mist is fine, lightweight & leaves your hair soft rather than sticky. When i did use too much my roots became greasy much faster so you do need to find your sweet spot & less is more with this product. I do think it protects my hair from the heat styling & it doesn’t leave my hair feeling frazzled. It smells neutral, not heavy or overpowering. I would recommend it.
