Ontu Brightening Body Serum with 5% Niacinamide and Vitamin C - 6oz: For Normal Skin, Vanilla Scent, Whole Body Use, Pump Bottle

I got this product on sale (40% + 3$ off ontu products) and i was pleasantly surprised. i have scars from a laparoscopy surgery i had done, and had an allergic reaction to the tape used on my body. this caused excess melanin and more severe scarring, which i’ve been trying to treat. i initially tried vitamin c serums i used on my face, but they were often too strong and uncomfortable on my stomach. i use 2 body washes (dove salicylic acid and ontu oil body wash) in edition to spot treating my scars and additional uneven spots (elbows, knees) i’ve found the product works great, and while results are slow (it’s been about 2 weeks with non daily use), i’ve noticed a difference in my scars, they’re fading naturally of course, but the areas where i had a reaction to the tape seem to be less noticeable, although this is all anecdotal. i know vitamin c is the key to brightening, and i’ve seen its significance in my skincare, so i have no doubt this product will continue to deliver. also, the scent is addicting. it’s warm, and gentle, i don’t too often use scented lotions or serums but it’s a nice touch and lasts awhile on my skin, very subtle.

The feeling of this is nice but it smells like Play-Doh - wouldn’t recommend it at full price but if you get it on sale for $13 worth a try

I like the design and color of bottle. Easy to use and store it’s not a big bulky bottle but just nice size.

It felt like it absorbed very well into my skin and the scent was beautiful and subtle with hints of amber and vanilla. It is a nice thin lotion that goes a long way, and I feel like it is a great value for the amount that you get! The only reason it didn't get a five from me, is that my neck and chest wrinkles are really deep and I haven't seen a big enough difference in them to give it that extra star. This would be great for more fine lines. I'm curious to see how it helps in the long term. I would definitely add this to my beauty regimen!

Although I feel it’s too soon to tell whether or not it makes a difference regarding brightening and reducing dark spots, I still love it and will continue using it due to the soft texture, slight glow it provides, and especially because of the smell. The dusky-vanilla scent is absolutely amazing! When I wear it, I don’t even need to use perfumes.

It works just fine—hydration is instant and lasting, and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed—with a texture of a thicker serum. I didn’t have any reactions or anything (yay!) and I like the way my skin looked after using it for a few weeks. It does leave a little bit of stickiness for awhile but it fades and doesn’t transfer. What I really love about it, though? The fragrance. The smell is stunning. It smells very luxurious and warm without being overpowering. High five to the perfumers back in the lab because the smell is chef’s kiss. I’d rebuy this for the fragrance alone.

I wanted to love this product so much, but it didn't hit the mark for me. I will start off with the positive of the product. First off is the smell. It has a light slightly powdery scent, that I received many compliments on. The texture is also very nice. It is creamy, but rubs in completely and you don't even feel it. A little also goes a long way! One pump will do my whole neck and chest area. The disappointing part though were the actual brightening results. I have been using the product daily for almost a month, and the main spot I was using for comparison has not really changed. It may have lightened a slight amount, but it is negligible.

Things like uneven tone, fitness, and sun spots don’t just show up on the face, and u wanted something that actually targets that instead of just sitting on top of the skin. I’ve been using this product consistently and am impressed with how lightweight it is. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy feeling. After a few weeks I noticed my skin looks more even and healthier overall it’s not a harsh or dramatic “brightening” which I can appreciate and it feels gradual and natural. My skin also feels smoother and looks less dull. This product layers well under body lotion, and I’ve experienced no irritation at all. If you’re in your late 30s or beyond and starting to pay more attention and I body skin the way you do about your face, this is a nice addition to a routine. I highly recommend.

I can feel an instant difference in the amount of hydration it provides, which also contributes to a youthful appearance. I typically buy similar formulas for my face, using a combination of niacinamide (B3), which is meant to minimize pores & lighten dark spots, and vitamin C to add glow to an uneven skintone. I really like this serum for the neck, hands, chest, stretch marks, and feet. The vanilla musk scent is sweet, but there is an after-odor that reminds me of sun-tan lotion for a tanning bed, or maybe even Vaseline. It's not my favorite fragrance because it lingers even after the sweetness fades, but it's not bad. It doesn't really irritate my skin, but it is an antioxidant ingredient used to replace damaged cells. Too much of it can cause skin sensitivity due to its acidity. So, it's best to go light with it in areas of thinner skin (the backs of the hands, the tops of the feet, for instance). The Ontu lightweight formula is not really sticky when applied, but I can still feel a somewhat sticky residue on the webs of my fingers after application; not my favorite feeling, and typically why I avoid moisturizers even when I need them. As mentioned before, the lightweight serum seems to be too thin to clump. It's not really causing any clumping when I just let it drip from the top for trial purposes (pictured). It has fairly durable packaging with a hygienic pump-top that can be locked for travel and cleanliness. I don't really suffer from age spots or dark spots anymore, but I think the Ontu Your Body Brightening Serum is great for a hydrated, glowing, youthful appearance on the body.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fairly good body serum. It's absorbs into the skin fairly quickly and does not leave a tacky residue that lotion can. It is moisturizing and leaves the skin soft. The product claims niacinamide brightens and I've seen a small improvement in the dark area left behind from my tracker watch. My only concern is the fragrance. The first 10 minutes or so it has a plastic undertone to the vanilla musk scent. It does dissipate and the fragrance stays on the skin for around 3 hours. Overall it's a pretty good serum for the price.

It has a lovely texture and an incredible vanilla and musk scent that I love. The milky serum is lightweight, applies easily, and absorbs quickly, leaving my dry, sensitive skin feeling hydrated and smooth. A little goes a long way. I have some spots of discoloration from my pregnancies that have not gone away. I didnt see a difference so far but I did notice my skin as so much softer and moisturized.
