Good Molecules 10% Azelaic Acid Face Treatment - 30ml: Skin Tone Improvement, Unscented, Liquid Form

This product genuinely saved my skin. Back in September, I fell in love with the idea that I needed an active to help my skin (even though my skin was already pretty clear, I wanted to get rid of small bumps). I started using adapalene and glycolic acid (on different days, never on the same day) and noticed my skin started getting insanely dry. I struggled with dry skin in the past, but this was really bad. My skin would burn when I was putting on moisturizer and was super flaky. Even when I stopped using glycolic and started slugging with aquaphor, I still had flaking. As soon as I started using this product, BOOM! My skin was saved. Now I have basically zero flaking, burning is much better/nonexistent, and my skin is so hydrated. I don’t even have to use aquaphor anymore! (Which is great because sleeping in it was so gross!) My makeup looks so much better now that it doesn’t flake off, and I feel WAY more confident. Thank you good molecules!

Does it smell like baby spit up? Yes. Is it lightweight? No, it's sticky and hard to spread on your face - it doesn't eventually soak in but give it a bit of time before layering. (The reviews that say it has no smell or that it's lightweight - not sure where y'all are getting that from, lol.) The tip on the container is oddly small so getting product out is a bit of a chore when the product gets low. It almost feels like the company intended the product to be a spot treatment, with how small the tip is. I would like to see a pump on this product or larger tip, allowing more product to come out. I have rosacea and those pesky rosacea spots that aren't quite acne but still develop whiteheads. This stuff takes the spots away and keeps them away. My face isn't perfect still, but it's a lot better after starting this azelaic acid. I've tried other azelaic acids but this one seems the most effective. It hasn't really helped with redness yet, though. I use this twice a day, morning and night. My morning moisturizer and night moisturizer layer well over it. I'll be rebuying.

I’ve been suffering from hormonal acne for 2 years and I’ve tried Tret, other brands of azelaic acid, salicylic acid etc I could go on and on but when I found this I’m like oh well just hoping that it’ll work and after 3 months of using along with adapalene my hormonal acne is gone! If I get a pimple it usually goes away the next day or two so I’m so thankful I found this product. My dark spots are still there but I’m not expecting for it to fade right away since it’s only been almost 3 months but hopefully after a month they’ll fade away. I definitely recommend this!

I have rosacea, and it has helped me reduce the redness. What I like the most about this product is that it’s really lightweight, so if you like layering products, this one absorbs nicely; you can layer it with a moisturizer, foundation, sunscreen, I’ve even added a liquid ampoule on top, and it works great. Something I noticed as well, is that there’s like little exfoliating beads when applying the product, but so far I haven’t had an issue with it, it isn’t harsh by any means, since I have REALLY sensitive skin.

Only purchased this 3 days ago, but so far LOVING IT. There aren’t a ton of azelaic acid products that you can go pick up at the store. I’ve been using The Ordinary’s AA, and while it works so well, I don’t love the silicone base. I’m randomly having a rosacea flare up and this is exactly what I needed. My skin is already significantly calmer and smoother!! Will definitely be trying the face wash next :)

I have very acne prone skin, I started using this and the cleanser, after 10 days my skin is looking clear and my acne scars are already looking lighter. It has a slightly gritty texture, and I’ve noticed if you don’t use a hydrating serum or toner with this then your skin can start to feel dry but otherwise I love it.

I've been using the 10% Azelaic Acid Treatment for two months, and I can say that I have had a decrease in redness and post-acne spots during that time. I struggle with build-up of dry skin, and since using this product, I have noticed an improvement in the ability for my skincare routine to deal with the dry skin. My before-and-after isn't the most impressive, but I do also have to note that it's the last week of the semester, and it has been in the 20s for the last two weeks, so it's DRY!! I have been dealing with some stubborn redness/texture/acne that popped up after I stopped breastfeeding. It has been about 3 months and it improved very little on its own. Ok so I'll start off by saying that I only had a week to try this product out, as well as the 10% azelaic cream. So I don't think that's quite enough time to properly see how a product is for your skin. Not to mention trying two new products together. How am I supposed to know which product is doing what? And if I did half my face with one and half with the other, I wouldnt get the full effect of both at once. That said, I'll review best I can. I kept most of my routine the same. For someone like me who has acne scarring over most of my face, I will fly through this container. The consistency is just a basic cream feel. Nothing weird to it. I think it helped my dark spots but not my acne. I would add this too my routine rather than replacing items with it. I will be interested to see, going forward, how it does in with my other items in my routine. I feel that it is difficult to review this product in concert with the cleanser, as I worry that I am attributing all of the success to the cleanser and some of it might be attributed to the treatment, but my dislike of the texture is giving me bias. Regardless, my unfiltered opinion is this: the texture is a little tacky and uncomfortable, it's unclear how much I should be using, and it's difficult to spread across my face. I'm a big fan of the discoloration serum, and I far prefer the liquid texture of that serum to this. However, if I stop the usage of this product and the changes I've seen go away, I would much rather continue using this, but have clearer directions on the proper amount of product to use and suggested methods of putting it on the skin. I've had great success with this treatment and the cleanser together in decreasing my redness and acne spots, but my difficulties with the texture makes it difficult for me to recommend it.
