It does shave well but I have a problem area just under my R jawline which I can never shave closely whether with this shaver or a foil one. I never seem to be able to achieve perfect pressure or movement on the app!

Does not cut a heavy beard and need to use another shaving device to get a close shave.

Very close shave but trimming and directions lack

Hair trimming attachment does not work as well as prior shavers - hard to trim mustache cleanly. Directions have no words and pictures are not easy to fully decipher - would have expected more for such a pricey device.

I always used Philips electric shavers, specifically after I exhausted all the possibilities with shaving with all the top brands of multiple blades, and my face was bleeding from them every time I used them. Since I used the first Philips shaving machine till this day I am thankful for this technology

Good product, so far seems worth the cost.
So far so good. Let's see over and year atleast. Most important would be availability of spares if required and service. Another model I purchased in the past packed up and replacement under warranty was very difficult. Let's hope this one lasts.

Excellent shaver but poor choice of material
Nice close shave. Almost as close to blade shave. Unfortunately the design material did not made to last. The hand grip made of plastic developed cracks and pose safety issues after just 10 months. Just downgraded to get a i9000 Prestige for the more robust rubber grip.

Best one in 71 years of using Philips shavers
I have used Philips/Norelco since 1956. This is the best they have produced. I highly recommend it. However only 4 stars because there is no power adapter, only a USB type cable, and the shaving heads are a little too far apart and they tend to. go two ways at once, and one head then gets stuck on the nose or chin etc. Also they do not slide as well as the earlier shavers did. The "special coating" does not really workout it is a very good shaver. The best

Great Shaver
I purchased the i9000 Prestige Ultra XP9402/31 Wet and Dry Electric Shaver after receiving a promotional email from Philips. The shaver is comfortable to hold and gives a very close shave. It has lots of great features, including a light that changes colour, which together with the app lets you know how well you are using the shaver. The cleaning pod is very easy to use and I can also use the existing Jet Clean Solution I have from my previous Philips shaver. When I registered the shaver, it activated a 7 year warranty. It is suggested that the heads are changed every 2 years. I am very happy with my purchase and would thoroughly recommend especially when on promotion.

Good upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a nice upgrade. The device is a bit bigger than my old ones which I like that. It is really good looking one too. As far as performance, It is doing a really good job of cutting close and leave smooth skin. One thing that I do not like, is the sharp corner/edges of the three part of the head in the middle section. Often they catch my skin, especially when it is in a position that one or two is pushed in and the other one is out. I feel the edges of the three head have sharp corners rather tan rounded corners.

Worth the expense, a great razor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An excellent electric razor. The shave is everything it is advertised to be. It is absolutely the quietest shaver and once you get used the shaving techniques of the triple head (I used the foil head razors) it is a comfortable and smooth shave. With the app, the razor can communicate using your smart phone and I haven’t explored all those yet. The 9000 is not cheap but for me has been worth the expense. Have not used the trimmer attachments yet. I’m an older man, many age related wrinkles, gives me a close comfortable shave.
