My child loved discovering all the surprises, especially the gem box and accessories. The doll is colorful, well-made, and perfect for imaginative play. A great gift for any Little Mermaid fan!

The fact that Ariel is one of her favorite princess is an added bonus. Her favorite part was putting the little accessories on the belt and she also loves being able to display everything. There's many different pieces and she seemed amazed every time she saw something new.

My daughter loves the piece that goes on her waist! Kind of wish it had a fin that could make it to where she could be a mermaid or be a human too.

She has been played with so much that all of the gems that came along with the doll have been lost. The doll itself is a comparable size to other brands. She comes with bright colored gems and a treasure case to put in all of her accessories. Her features look exactly like the movie making her easily recognizable. This is the first doll of her kind that was actually able to be stood up and left standing on her own. Her shoes, though difficult for little hands to put on, stayed on and did not easily fall off. The packaging itself is created in a way that looks like a wand but once opened, reveals a doll and a heart shaped closet. The base of the packaging easily attaches to the heart closet making for a cute accessory holder. The one complaint, if any, would be that there was a lot of packaging to be thrown out after all of the pieces were removed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First take out the crown ring to wear and open the doors. Remove the question mark, surprise pieces. There was a crown, necklace and shoes. Remove gems to reveal the doll. Then remove the top armoire piece to open up the doll. Lastly remove bottom piece and attach to the bottom of the armoire. You can then relocate the shelves inside to be horizantal. Ariel has an attached shirt but removable cloth skirt. She also has a gem skirt attachement. My 3 yr old was able to do this almost entirely herself. Besides gems and bottom piece of tape. There are 4 gems and a mini flounder. Gems can go into the necklace, ring or skirt. They are more difficult to put in/out of the ring and necklace but easily done in the skirt. Overall this is a good product. It is decent quality and my daughter has played with it nonstop. The surprise element is very cool aswell. Only dislike is that the armoire doors dont stay shut on this one.

She loved the Ariel doll itself but for her the other items are too little and tedious. This would be great for an older child. Very cute. Great product overall just not good for my child.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Princess Jewel Reveal doll that we have and we like it just as much as our first! The details on the accessories are beautifully done - like the tiny starfish on Ariel’s shoes. The gems are small and if your child is younger they may need help with them. We also found that the doors on the gem box tend to pop off easily (this happens with our other jewel reveal doll and must be a manufacturing defect). We wish Ariel had the swoosh in the front of her hair like in the picture on the front of the product packaging. It’s a beautiful doll for any child that enjoys the princesses!

My daughter really likes how the heart gem attaches to the base of the box to create her own little storage box for the accessories. Pretty and fun!

You know which character you are getting but not exactly what she will look like or what the accessories are so your kids will have the fun of opening them but you have the piece of mind knowing who it is. I also like that a big piece of the packaging also becomes her accessory and a rather nice one at that. Overall I'm very pleased with this doll and so are my kids. They had fun opening her together and have continued playing with her consistently.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Mattel Disney Ariel Princess Jewel Reveal doll for my daughter, and she was absolutely thrilled to discover all the wonderful things that this doll offers. As soon as the box is opened, the experience starts with the sparkling heart, which is transformed into a pretty jewelry box once it’s attached to its base, this detail is really well thought out, and it's a feature my daughter loves, as she can store all the accessories there after play time is over. It is both decorative and very practical! The doll itself is faithful to the image of Ariel, with careful details, the doll's skirt is removable and printed with precious stones and shells, which adds a really playful touch. My daughter really likes to style her long hair and have her wear the accessories, especially the crown and the little shoes. The fact that a ring is included also allows my daughter to get more involved, by wearing the accessory herself, which adds to the fun. The surprising side, with the various elements to discover, is a real plus. She loved opening the various surprises, like jewelry and other accessories. The concept of turning the heart into a jewelry box is also a success, and my daughter loves to store all the treasures in it. Just one thing, in my opinion, the dress, although it gives a slight impression of fabric, is still quite basic, as are the bust and crown, which are made entirely of plastic. Despite these details, Ariel is very much in the Disney spirit and perfectly suited to little girls who love the world of princesses. The Interactivity and surprises make this doll very fun and a popular toy.

It comes with a doll and multiple accessories- but the jewelry box was what our little girl loved the most. The bottom and the top of the package fit together to create a really cool jewelry box that can be used again and again. The accessories are cute and the doll is a good size.
