A: I've had mine keep ice (in water) over that 8-hour threshold before, closer to 12-18 hours. Owala's tight seals help with that. It does also depend on how much ice you put in and exposure to sun.

Lousy quality
Poor quality for the price. The ring on top breaks easily. The manufacturer won’t replace it says that’s normal to break after 4 days. Bottom dents and scratches easily. Straw doesn’t stay in place keeps falling to the bottom. Going back to yeti/ they stand behind their product and for a few dollars more you will have the bottle for years.

This is such a great waterbottle! The color is soooo cute. I got the one that's tan with pastel accents and I love the color! I previously had the 24 ounce one but I now love the bigger size. The only thing though is that like most waterbottles with straws you need to clean them a lot. The only thing is that owala waterbottles tend to be a little harder to clean but otherwise I love this bottle! I really like how you can use the straw or chug water. Buy it!

Straw comes unattached inside
Pros: definitely keeps things cold, leakproof, like the ability to straw sip. I’ve only cleaned it a few times but seems reasonable. Cons: does not fit in my car cup holder, and IT IS SO ANNOYING THE STRAW COMES UNATTACHED ALL THE TIME. Any time there is ice inside, it dislodges the straw and I have to unscrew the whole thing and replace the straw.

This is not leak proof.. the cap that seals the spout does not work. I tilted the water bottle and water pours out from the supposed sealed cap.. for a water bottle that cost nearly 30 dollars this is ridiculous and false advertising. Now I have to spend time and gas to go out of town to return it.
