I expected more from Ghost

Excited to try these thinking they would be very good because everything I’ve ever heard from Ghost I’ve enjoyed. These had a weird style taste, and the caramel was very dried out. I mean, I guess they would do in a pinch or if you were starving but honestly, there’s a lot better things for a lot less money.

Filling and easy snack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for free to review. I tried the Ghost chocolate caramel protein bar and wasn’t immediately a fan of it. You can instantly taste the protein and milk powder which overpowers the taste of chocolate and caramel. I also found it to be on the drier side compared to other protein bars. Overall, it is filling for my long medical shifts and it’s a quick grab and go snack.

Also it seems like peanuts are mixed in and has a funky aftertaste. It's super convenient to get your protein in on the go but not the best tasting.

Tried these and were blown away. Tasted like a chocolate bar. Too addicting. Small like a Twix and just enough for a quick snack before or after a workout or for breakfast. They really did make me feel better after eating. Completely changed my mind about them and even tried these drinks and they were really effective. Nice one ghost

Pretty good

My sons loved them and said they were really good and had good ingredients. I think the texture was odd but not grainy. I do like the convenience of having individually wrapped bars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I believe this is meant to be a protein alternative to your favorite two stick chocolate bar. Sadly, it falls far short of its target. There is a bland chocolate coating over a chalky middle with very little caramel. The crunchy little rice pieces are a bad distraction. By the second bar, it did start to grow on me, but not enough to say I liked it. This may be good for people who don’t like sweet things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full honest review, I did not like these Ghost Chocolate Caramel protein bars. They were very sticky, had an artificial flavor that almost tasted like coconut, and left a slimy texture in my mouth afterwards. The chocolate and caramel is okay, but the gritty, crunchy nougat type part is not good. I'm guessing that is the milk protein isolate and whey protein concentrate. It had high hopes for 270 calories and 20 grams of protein. Only 2g total sugars. 7g fiber! Unfortunately I would not buy again. I have texture issues with my food, and this did not stand up to that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m mixed on these protein bars. It’s nice to have on hand for when you need a high protein snack, but the taste isn’t my favorite. I think one thing I struggle with it is that I wish the crunchy part mimicked a flakier crunch. This is kind of a mushy crunch that doesn’t complement the caramel and chocolate as well as I wish it did. The caramel has a good flavor though and is a nice touch. It doesn’t leave a great after taste either which makes me not want to reach for them. Overall if you are looking for more protein it’s worth a try, but don’t go in expecting a candy bar.

Too much protein aftertaste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this protein bar was decent. At first bite, the bar is a bit crunchy and then slowly dissolves into your mouth. The chocolate caramel flavor was not present and tasted like protein powder instead as it left a strong protein powder aftertaste. This is great if you enjoy protein on an everyday basis however for newcomers, it might be a little bit overwhelming. On the other hand, the packet does come with two bars which is convenient if you do not want to finish the bars all at once. The box comes with 4 bars which is underwhelming for the price but the packaging is really nice. Overall, this is only a decent protein bar for me and I probably would not buy this again.

The texture is tough and the aftertaste is worse. It’s 270 calories for 20g of protein. Not terrible but there are way better bars out there with less calories.
