Color changed - no longer the cult favorite
Mademoiselle used to be my “go to” color. It was the perfect nude (similar to Essie’s long discontinued Adore-a-ball), not too pink, not too beige, and I wore it all the time. Then the color changed. It’s now way too pink, and I hate it. I’m so disappointed that despite feedback from many loyal users, Essie has not seen fit to change it back to the perfect color it was. If you’re going to introduce a new color, don’t destroy a customer favorite - just call it something else. And please bring back the old color, even if you are using a new formulation. Making the argument that a color change is the result of a new formulation rather than owning up to the fact that you made a deliberate change to the color is insulting.

It also dries pretty fast as well which I love! So far my nails have lasted a while too so it has good wear! Gonna get some other colors because it's honestly really good.

Loved and lost
I used Vanity Fairest for years, it was the perfect sheer nude pink with a bit of sparkle, great for year-round and a wonderful neutral without being boring. HOWEVER, Essie changed the formula and while it's still sheer, the sparkle is gone and its overall color is just another boring pink. Shame on you Essie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not the best at painting nails as you can see from the photo but the color is good. It wasn’t too thin but did have to apply a second layer. The polish held pretty well with a clear top coat with no chipping and dried pretty fast.

Crisp White

Thin it out

Perfect dark blue

Doesn't apply smoothly

That thick, clumpy texture you described—especially when it makes a smooth finish impossible—is certainly not the high-quality experience you should have with any Essie color (looks great on your nail BTW!) The nail colors should all flow on easily and by the second coat the color should be perfect!

True white color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent coverage. Love the brush! Drying out very quickly. Have to put two coats. Only downside is that the nail polish will start chipping off at the about day three but I’m OK with it because my nails grow very fast. I would buy this again because of the color, quick, dry, and price.
