Bye Bye Ben's
Like most products these days, the ingredients have been modified and the price has been increased and the product is now terrible. It's bland, even if butter is added like the old instructions called for. I won't be buying Ben's anymore.

What happened to Uncle Ben’s?
What have you changed in the original box?? This used to be a staple in my pantry, but no more. Get back to the original! The microwave package is even worse! 🤮

UBen's "original" is now just bland and bad
This rice used to taste great - now it's bland. Publish the original recipe so we can make it at home from scratch. This is too expensive to be this bad. Disappointed

Versatile, Quick, Easy to Make, Everyone Loves It
We've been buying this rice for years and it's a hit! It's quick and easy to cook as it comes but sometimes I add cinnamon with slivered almonds and pine nuts for a different taste. It freezes well when using it as part of homemade dinners for work. Makes a great side dish at home or several boxes can be prepared and used for potlucks. Everyone loves it and there's never any leftovers.

reciepe change
Very sad to see a great product I have eaten since the early 70's change its composition enough to make it bland and unremarkable ;(

Crowd Pleaser
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was really delicious. I think the instructions were a little off and it was a bit too watery at first, but I adjusted and made it work. This would be a great side to almost any meal and was flavorful. Everyone agreed!

Not gluten free
My friend got this for a meal for me. I have celiac disease. It took some research to find that this is not gluten free. It likely has yeast extract from a barley source but this is not stated in the ingredients. Sure would be nice if this were clearly stated in the ingredients.

No flavour
This used to be a staple in our house. Not sure what happened but it tastes terrible now, actually not even terrible, that would imply it had flavor.

I figured it out--how to make it taste like it did
I loved this product. Then the past few times--it was just BLAND. Claude AI and I did some research. The product has changed. Yeast extract has replaced hydrolyzed corn/soy/wheat protein. Many fewer glutamates (I think) and therefore much less savory umami flavor. For those who want to still enjoy the old flavor--consider adding 1/2-1 teaspoon of miso paste. I think mushroom powder may also work but I have not tried that. But I have used the miso paste and it works!

Yummy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my absolute favorite rice I use it for so many meals!!! My favorite is cooking it with sausages or using it as a side dish. Very easy to cook and great packaging. Easy to open.

Something changed and not for the better
I have had Long Grain & Wild Rice for a long time. The most recent box we bought was not the same as it was previously. It smelled different when cooking, it looked different and it tasted awful. This is not the same product it used to be. We also noted that they changed the cooking times and amount of water so the current version is definitely different and it's not good. If this is the way it is now, no more for me, thanks. Change it back to the original recipe and we'll consider it again. New version is terrible.

No flavor
I buy this rice all the time and frequently recommend to friends. We always have 4 or 5 boxes in our pantry. Not anymore! Something has changed and it has zero flavor. What the heck. There are enough complaints on here. Make a statement to your consumers and change it back!

Garbage
The pre-cooked pouches of rice are a disaster. It's almost impossible to break up the contents as it is all clumped into one large piece. Terrible product

Delicious!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Uncle Ben’s Wild rice. I fixed chicken and wild rice soup. It was delicious. I love that it has nature seasonings. This makes it perfect for us, we use a lot of seasonings on all that we cook.

Quick, easy, tasty!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For it being from a box, it tasted pretty good. No weird after taste. Small box doesn't take much space. Easy to cook. Was enough for a family of 4 as a side.

Poor Allergen Labeling
It states under nutrition to check the label for allergens. There is nothing saying it contains wheat, barley etc. Otherwise indicating it contains gluten. Im referring to the seasoning packet. Oh my, i found out the hard way after i got sick. I learned that yeast extract can be derived from barley. If the box was properly labeled I would not have purchased. Thanks Uncle Bens. The same product in a pouch like package stated it contained wheat. I figured it there was an allergen, it would be stated as such. I assumed that Ben would be consistent in labeling. I trusted and assumed . You know what they say about assuming. Won't buy ANY Ben products ever again, even plain rice

Good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really straight forward cooking instructions. It came out better than expected and wasn’t too soft which is how I like my rice. Tasted as good as expected since this is my first time getting wild rice. The packaging was easy to open and it came out to serve I would say 2 ppl if you portion it well.
