Q: I want to know is this pad good for going swimming

A: Pads are never meant to go swimming in. That will create bulky, soggy, saggy pads and swim bottoms. This goes for Any Pads & Brands! Tampons are what people use when they need to go swimming.

Q: How many mL of menstrual fluid does this pad hold? And what’s the mL difference between the teen heavy & teen extra absorbent?

A: While we don’t publish the specific fluid capacities of our pads, we do use terms like ‘light flow’ and ‘heavy flow’ to distinguish relative absorbency within U by Kotex. We can confirm also that there is no difference in the absorbency between our Teen Heavy and Teen Extra Absorbency pads. In 2023, we changed the name from Extra Absorbency to Heavy, but the absorbency of the pad did not change. Hope this helps!

Q: Will the charcoal be an irritant? Is this the same pads in the regular green packaged just remarketed?

A: Our Balance pads are infused with 100% plant-based charcoal specifically placed on the inner layer of the pad to provide you with odor support without direct contact. We assure you that all of our products are extensively tested by licensed toxicologists & dermatologists to be safe for intimate skin without harsh ingredients and made without fragrances. Our Clean & Secure line are in the green packaging, and do not have charcoal inner layer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s be transparent. These are the same pads but with the word “teen” on it and it works accordingly because now said teen will only use these. I’m slightly salty because they are more expensive but to keep the peace, I will keep buying them because they do work even on heavy flow days. My kiddo wears them with period panties for school and says there are few days when the backup panties have to play their part.

I only wear pads and these were so comfortable. I didn’t think it was possible to wear such thin pads because my periods are so heavy, but these pads worked great! They are light and breathable. She says they fit nicely to her body shape, they are longer so she doesn’t feel like she’s going to leak out the back and designed to hold a good amount which comes in handy at school. She prefers wings on pads to help hold it in place better. She was never a fan of using pads without wings. So these are perfect and I’d highly recommend them if your teen needs pads for a heavier flow!!

They’re shorter to accommodate the teen body, and not as thick as a normal pad. Wings are always a bonus for me personally. Great hold on those heavier days and don’t notice any odor at all. Love that each pad comes in a cute wrapper too.

Which if you get your period you know that you don’t exactly feel fresh during that time frame. They are small enough so you don’t feel like you are wearing a diaper, but a good enough size that you aren’t leaking out. They are the best I have found to use if you have a smaller frame, so you feel protected but it’s not weighing you down.
