This bookshelf doesn't look anything like the advertised pictures. The backing is cardboard and looks like it only has 3 panels because the other lines that mimick small panels are so faint. Don't waste your money.

Do not buy this. Too cheaply made.
I hate to say this. I am never one to leave bad reviews. But this shelf is garbage. One proton of the shelf broke within minutes of building it. It split where a screw went. And the white portion fell off in a chunk. Then the trim at the top would not hold in place with the 4 the screws it came with and when trying to fix it it split in half. I wasted $140 on a very cheaply made product. I’m super disappointed. And can’t recommend. It’s my own fault for buying junk.

Don’t buy!
When we put it together chunks of wood came out. It’s super cheap wood and the back of shelf is like a paper cardboard paneling. It’s not worth the money for sure. It’s a lot shorter then I thought it would be too. If it were like $20 I’d say it was okay but no more than that.

The shelves are sturdy but it came with chips in the wood trim. The back pieces are flimsy and bend. I would take it back if I could.

This is a super cheap bookshelf. The pieces don’t fit together right and the backing is crap. I’m very mad I bought this and wish I could return but it’s put together. I’ll probably end up using it in the garage....

Some pros and cons
We've bought two of these now and they've had the same problem (for me): The decorative molding at the top doesn't meet up well at the mitered corners. It looks shabby until I reshape the pieces to fit together nicely. I'm glad I have the tools to make it look good! The cardboard backing for stability is also cheap-looking as it showed some wear at the folds and that is visible from the front (less obvious when I fill up shelves with books). Assembly is fine and the furniture is sturdy enough.
