Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Liquid Lip Blush & Cheek Tint - Ulta Beauty

So I’m coming over from the Maybelline superstay liquid lipstick team, I mean you can eat, sleep, swim in that lipstick n it doesn’t budge. Now I wanted a more natural, subtle look so decided to try this benetint due to all the reviews everywhere. I don’t understand what everyone is talking about. I bought the Play tint and it looks really nice and natural but there’s nothing left after eating. Am I doing something wrong? You just apply and let it dry. I tested it over several days and I’m so disappointed. It’s nothing more than a matte lip gloss bcz when I wipe with a napkin, all of it comes right off, it does not stain. Should I try the main color Rose… Is it any different? What would make the color last long? Should I blow dry it after applying? Should I hang upside down? Should I chant ancient rhymes? What am I missing here?

26 dollars for tinted water is insane. Doesn’t even show up on my skin.

Very expensive, but worth the money. I will use this in the summer because if it's tint. I love how it is a tint because it will tint and give me a natural look without coming off in water.

The colour is lovely, however I brought 3 different colours and none of them stain they all come off. Very disappointing

the color stains well and is nice but it agressively chaps your lips. after using my lips, especially in the corners, turn red, chapped, and bumpy. my friends have this issue as well, so I dont think I am allergic. be mindful when using.

It's ok on the cheeks. It's messy to put on and can stain your fingers. On the lips it's awful. I've tried everything with this- one coat- layering and it only sticks to certain areas. Doesn't last. It also has a strong rose flavor on the lips which is off-putting. I wanted a lip stain and this isn't it. It's ok for the cheeks.

The smell is yuck. I don't know where they get that is lasting 8 hours from. This is gone in an hour with maybe some staining around the rim of your lips. Do not recommend. It'd be pretty if it actually stayed and wasn't toxic smell

After continuous research and reading of reviews, I thought of giving Floratint a try because I liked the shade match. Upon trying it once and having 1 meal, it completely faded. I would rather stick with a lipstick and not waste money on a tint. Tints are great for the cheek but stick to good ol' lipsticks for your lips. Very expensive and not worth it.

I absolutely love mixing this with the high beam for my cheeks, especially during the summer. I liked the color on my lips, but it dries them out so terribly that I won't do that again.

I had this product 15 years ago when it first came out. The size of the bottle and color were both much better back then. It now feels watery, and the color muted. Save your money. It's not worth the cost anymore. It used to be!

I'm not sure about the lipstain part but I use this as a blush. As a makeup gremlin this is 100% the closest blush I've ever seen that comes to an honest to god natural flush. Its also buildable for more color, very lightweight- legit can't even feel it.

i LOVE benetint. i cannot lie. it's the perfect summery, natural, slightly sunburnt BUT IN A GOOD WAY cheek tint and it looks phenomenal as a lip tint. and it even smells good. what more could you ask for?

Bought this to replace my much loved discontinued Posietint which I have used for many years and bought several of them when they were discontinued. Once I had used them all I tried this as an alternative and can honestly say for me it is nowhere near as good. Colour is not as strong and doesn't last anywhere near as long. Please, please Benefit, bring back Posietint it was a firm favourite.

Based on reviews, I really wanted to love this product as much as others have. The difficulty I have had is that it is just too watery. That said, it immediately seeps into any fine lines around the mouth. Red lines going from the lips is not a pretty sight! Less expensive brands are thicker and do not do line seepage. I was crazy about the taste but could be me.

I have been searching for a good lip stain, and the ulta person recommended this one. I have to say I will never recommend this to anyone. It is the worst Lip stain I have ever tried. It doesn't last and it tries your lips extremely. To the point where you feel like you are thirsty the whole time. It is awful. Do not buy.

not really a scam except for the price. dude, almost $30 for a small little thing of lip/cheek tint?? it still confuses me why the makeup industry puts these pricy prices on everything. but anyways, yes i do like it. the color can be pretty extreme, so be careful when your putting it on.

This is and has been one of my go-to products for nearly 10 years. I fell in love with it when the applicator was still a little brush, before they changed it to the doefoot applicator. The one thing I will say about it: it does not play nice with liquid or cream foundation. I will typically apply this to moisturized, sunscreened skin and blend out with my fingers, then pop a bit on my lips for some color balance. Sometimes I'll apply a light powder foundation on top of it. But this is NOT a product I have ever had success with over liquid/cream foundation. Once it is on your skin and dried down, she will stay put all day. It's my favorite for days when I don't want to really wear any makeup, but still want a little bit of color, maybe will still do my brows and some light mascara. A personal favorite to bring with on beachy vacations too, when you want to feel just a teeny bit more put together.
