Q: I have an air fryer (not this brand) that has the coating of the basket flaking off. Will this one do that?

A: Aerosol oils contribute to flaking. Do not use with air fryer.
submitted byMac - 10 months agoA: I contacted Gourmia and bought a replacement 'pan' (the insert that fits in the basket, which the food sits on) - I believe it costed $15 and they may have shipped it for free.
submitted byBizzyRae - 1 year agoA: Yes - the basket flakes. I have never put food directly on any part of the air fryer, but rather use aluminum foil and I have never put it in the dishwasher. It is very dangerous and unhealthy!
submitted byWoke Joke - 11 months agoA: Yes it will. And it does. I've owned several Gourmia air fryers and the basket flakes and the grill plate. Customer service is helpful, but the problem persists. No matter how gentle you clean or avoid using oils or sprays, it keeps happening.

A: I use liners in the basket that way your food doesn’t touch the basket and you don’t have to worry about flaking.

A: Actually it doesnt need to be pre-heated! Thats one of the better perks, along with turning off the touch tone sounds and its SO quiet vs. others like the InstantPot Vortex from what I've seen!

Seem good, but don't put the basket in the dishwasher even though it says you can. Water got stuck between the two glass panels and it is impossible to clean between there without removing a bunch of screws, and the sides expanded slightly which caused it to no longer be flush with the air fryer. As long as you don't clean it this way, the air fryer is otherwise fine

We loved this air fryer, never had any issues with it until 1year exactly. turned it on last night to make chicken wings and it shut down. wont turn back on. Warranty is 1yr, how ironic , i yr and now it stops working. Will not buy this brand again, even though we loved it , it is not worth the quality going south as the warranty expires. would have given 5 stars if it had not broke.
