Good, hearty buckwheat flavor
Raised on buckwheat, I really appreciate this mix. Because I love waffles and pancakes. Also, I did mess with the instructions, and replaced water with condensed milk. If you think that the recipe with no changes is good - try this and send your taste buds on the trip to paradise.

Instructions are off
Good flavor, but the instructions led to a mix that was far too dry and paste like. It took another 1/2 cup + of water for my mix to get to a point where it was pancake batter - even thick pancake batter. I don't "think" I did anything wrong. Very precise measurements were used and it was just unusable at first.

Fantastic waffle and pancake mix!
I love this waffle and pancake mix, the flavor is nutty and it's filled with wholesome fiber and protein for our active lifestyle. The mix is flexible, I can make sweet, e.g., pancakes and waffles by adding a splash of vanilla and 1 tablespoon of molasses, or savory dishes, I add a 1/2 teaspoon of Herbes de Provence when I make Galettes Complètes. I will use either lox or ham - both are delicious.

Very good buckwheat pancake mix, maybe not as rich as pancakes with all buckwheat and no other flours. I still thought they were very yummy with some butter and a little syrup. My husband even liked them, and he thought he wouldn't. A little more expensive than regular pancake mix.

This has to be hands down my favorite pancake mix - i've tried some of the other, and while good, the Buckwheat hands down is way better. I sometimes add chopped nuts or dried fruit to it. While the instructions say to add water, I prefer to use milk for a thicker batter. anyone i've made the pancakes for loved them and it's a staple for sunday breakfasts. The only downer is that the grocery stores used to carry it, but that is no longer the case as it's been replaced by the Paleo and buttermilk kinds. Thus, I order online, but it's worth it.

The best waffles I have ever had
I love waffles and pancakes. I even make my own pure maple syrup. I keep experimenting with recipes and I am often disappointed with flavorless limp pancakes or waffles. By chance, I tried Red's Buckwheat pancake and waffle mix in my Belgium waffle iron, I added walnuts to the mix and I can honestly say they were the best I have ever had. I have a flip waffle maker and the waffles came out a little crispy which is perfect and with plenty of flavor. I am going to try this mix for pancakes next. I will be buying this again and again.

Don't bother asking anybody if they want buckwheat pancakes or waffles, the answer is always ew, no. Just make them. Don't ask. These stinkers are so darn good. They'll never know what they ate. Waffles are outstanding. Not as fluffy as buttermilk, but certainly not the dense "you have to eat whole grain" stuff. The only downside to these, you have to add an egg. I like the all in one mixes a bit better.
