A: You can fill the basket with fries, but for the best results, we recommend spreading them in a single layer or using the dual-layer crisper plate positions to promote even airflow and crisping. Shaking or rotating the food during cooking also helps ensure even results.

This air fryer only lasted about 3 mo the before the no stick coating was ruined. We were careful with cleaning and use of silicone utensils yet the nonstick surface chipped quickly. That rendered the entire machine worthless. I’m really disappointed as it was great for the first few months.

This makes my kitchen so much hotter than using my oven because it blows very hot air out the rear of the machine. It's similar in air flow to a hair dryer on high but much, much hotter temperature. Let me be clear: this isn't blowing the air inside the air fryer, it's blowing this very hot air outside the air fryer. This very hot air was blowing directly onto the electrical plug and outlet that I was using and it became very hot. Also, the drawer is badly designed with nooks and holes in the front panel of the drawer that trap water when you wash it. Getting the drawer completely dry was very difficult. I didn't actually choose this Ninja air fryer. I ordered a different brand from Target, but was sent this item instead.

This little/big air fryer is fantastic! It is easy to clean, easy to use. We opted for the one-drawer rather than the larger two-drawer model, and I'm so glad we did. The one drawer is bigger than I think one of the drawers would have been in the two-drawer, allowing us to fit a glass bowl for a casserole, plus it leaves more space on the counter. Very pleased. Cooks things very crispy.

I “upgraded” to this from a 5qt Cosori air fryer thinking I would be getting a larger air fryer. Technically I did, but the extra space is all vertical which is not beneficial in an air fryer. The grid where you place your food is the same size. So if you are buying this thinking it’s a larger air fryer, you may be disappointed.

Worked well for the first couple months then started getting an E2 error. Online it says it’s because the basket is overfilled, but that’s not the case when use it (think 8 chicken nuggets in the basket or a steak). Online also says the thermal sensor needs to be replaced and that’s not doable by the customer. Will not be buying a ninja product again.

We had a little dash air fryer that we use for about a year it did OK, but I got this today on sale half off and oh my gosh what a difference I will be using this every day. The food cooks faster and it turns out better- heated through and through and crispy on the outside! Perfection!!

I live Ninja products but unfortunately we can’t get rid of the chemical smell. Also, the fan is much louder than our previous Ninja XL Model, this has an extra high pitch sound. Will be returning.

This air fryer came highly recommended by a food blogger I trust (Lindsay from Pinch of Yum) and once it went on sale, I went for it. It has large capacity but isn’t absurdly heavy for storage. I love that the inner cooking plate is ceramic nonstick and the air fryer itself has a lot of preset functions beyond just a simple air fryer.
